But on a serious note,

I think Hank needs to feel some sense of competition for his job. When he refused to answer whether or not he intended to re-sign with the Rangers, it showed a lack of enthusiasm. A lot like Rocky in Rocky 3 when he sold out and lost the fire. Or Coach Gordon Bombay in D2 when they got all into being team USA and forgot what made them a team. Maybe putting his starting role on the line will reignite that fire that seems to be missing much of this season.

I think that is exactly what AV is doing here, looking to lifht a fire under Hank's ass and get him back to that Vezina form. Proving to us that he is worth that 8-year max deal and being the highest paid goalie in the league, but until then, Talbot will continue to start every so often.

Um how can you knock Lundqvist for his play the other night hard to win games when your team is shut out. and they allow goals you kick in. Lundqvist had a rough start to the season but looks to be getting back on track. I Talbot is 1000X better then Biron.
