Risenhoover was the one who used the phrase "Goooood bye baseball" when a Rangers player would hit a HR. Of course back then we didn't hit too many. Dick Risenhoover died of cancer on Opening Day of the 1978 season. He was just 51 when he died.

I can only imagine all the Rangers fans knee jerking and absolutely irate about trading for Cole Hamels and giving up future HOF'ers Jorge Alfaro and Nick Williams. (sarcasm of course)

they should be. trading 5 young players for a soon to be 32 year old is a massive mistake, regardless of how good one's farm is. i certainly hope cole works out for you guys, but he's never going to be an ace in the AL. you paid a brutal price for a #2 who, in my opinion, is due for a serious injury in the near future. but, like i said, i hope it works out and you get what you wanted.

I remember one night I got real sauced the night before I was supposed to run a dog in a field trial. I had to get up at 5:00 after staying the night where I'd been drinking, drive home and pick up my dog, and be ready to run first brace. I puked my guts up in the field, but my dog won that day.

If we were not heavy in LHBs and other pitchers to replace Jake then yes trade would not have happened. We got better and so did you guys long term. The way trades are supposed to be IMO
