We also learned yesterday that getting on base is important... and that it only counts if you get on base by a hit, not a walk.

Cause otherwise, Gardner getting on base much more often than Elsbury while having much less hits would make it look like Elsbury is worse than Gardner - and we can't allow that!

By those same standards, Jeter was the best hitter in baseball last year. Who knew.
