K-Mart has always been known at as a bargain center type of place, even though they had a decent selection of stuff, but Sears sold some quality gear back in the day.

Last straw for me was walking into Sears, checked-out a Craftsman Toolbox, slid open a drawer and saw the MADE IN CHINA label.

Swear to you, I mumbled "FUCK ME" waaaaaaaaayyyyy to loud and a few people looked my way disturbingly.

That's true on Sears. I guess they are still a good destination for appliances, but Home Depot has probably kicked their ass there, too.

As for K-Mart, they have probably been doomed ever since Rain Man said "K-Mart sucks".

word.....they have cheapened everything.....my grandfather was a big shot at sears he retired in the late 80's he was the distric manager for all the stores in connecticut rhode island massachusettes new hampshire vermont and maine....but he said that shit was going down hill for a while...he said withing a five year period they ruined that company and its image in an effort to compete with lesser brands

The worst part of that day, is I really learned why I never go shopping with my wife. She can be a raving bitch if she doesnt get what she wants. That day, they didnt have the tent she wanted but supposedly they had it in stock.

She was a nightmare even to the guy who was partially retarded. A full raving bitch over a $129.00 dollar tent that I didnt like. Fuck you Northern Territory and Fuck You K-Mart and your open door employment policy for retards.
