Calmer Than You Are
The Drover...hands down the best steak I have EVER had. Have never even looked at the menu once. Whiskey Filet every time
I never went to ANthony's but Farmer Brown's !!!!! God you just can't get a good steak down here.
Pink Poodle's prime rib was an experience too.
I've heard about the Poodle and driven by it, but never been. In Crescent right?
Right.
It's been years agot that I went. Probably about 15 or so but they sit ya down, bring out your salad and a hot crock of soup and hot loaf of bread for the table (me and my wife).
Then we both ordered the prime rib since that is what they are known for. The prime rib just melts in your mouth. I like most steaks rare but prime rib usually medium because of all the fat. I had medium rare and it was delicious. Fat was trimmed off before it came to the table and it was a huge slice. Add the baked potato with butter, sour cream and chives. It literally was a meal for a king.

Piccolos
Heard they changed owners though... in past 5 years or so...not sure if true?
and... is that the place off 72nd up there... by a hospitol or something if I remember?... Regular steak was pretty good but if I remember, it was small and dark as heck in there... took a while for our eye's to adjust...
Mr "C's was pretty good too if I remember... but some of you may be a little pale to head down that way these days....
If you cross the river into Couniltucky there is a place called Pizza King on east Broadway. Hands down our favorite spot for prime rib. We will be dumping our diet tomorrow so we can go there to celebrate our 30th anniversary.
I have had steaks at all of the best places in Omaha. I think Mr C's was my favorite, with Anthony's a close second.
BUT, if you want something different, nothing beat Joe Tess for fish. I don't even know if they are open anymore.

BRS on of the best places! If you left Mr. C or Caniglias ( south Omaha) hungry it was your own fault. Also at Mr. C's the owner (Yano) Mr C would always sing song and it was Christmas year round in his building!!!
