Scott Wells and Jake Long will not be cut and Sam Bradford will not restructure his current contract. So what you see is what you get which will lead to another 6-10 or 7-9 season in 2015. Gotta luv it, eh?
Yeah I think they get more cap room if Long is cut after June 1st. And I guess it makes sense to make sure you do draft someone that can replace him first...
It makes more sense to sign a FA to replace him first. Too many rookie linemen starting is a recipe for disaster.
Maybe Wisniewski or De La Puente for FA C, haven't heard much about either yet in FA.
Would be even better if Barrett Jones could finally come back and step in at Center.
Absolutely, but after basically 2 years of inactivity and no talk of him whatsoever yet this year, it's tough to anticipate anything regarding his status.
Jones's body was pretty trashed when he came out of college. That playing hurt a goodly portion of your college career will eventually take its toll and the Rams have found out the extent of that toll.

Unfortunately there are a lot of other teams looking for Olineman, so we may get nothing! If I was a free agent I would sign with any other team that was better than the Rams, unfortunately that's a lot of teams right now!
As Retro says, until we change this losing mentality FA's are not going to be knocking on our door!
At least that organization is consistent.Scott Wells and Jake Long will not be cut and Sam Bradford will not restructure his current contract. So what you see is what you get which will lead to another 6-10 or 7-9 season in 2015. Gotta luv it, eh?
Even guys like De La Puente and Blalock would be upgrades over what we have. Rams let the rush pass before they jumped in last year, and it looks like that may be the approach again this year, looking for bargains instead of splashes. Wells has a roster bonus coming up, so a decision should be made there before too long. Jake Long might take longer. It would be nice if some progress was made with Bradford (and maybe Long) towards restructuring their contracts, but all has been quiet.
One item of note. Barksdale and the Rams are far apart on the proposed deal the Rams are offering so he is headed to the market. I doubt he'll return as Carolina has expressed the most interest.
