Wrong Cougie. The crap players are the enticement along with the draft picks and Thomas' demands to be traded. It is a package deal that the Browns would listen to to satisfy Thomas who is increasingly wanting out of Cleveland.

I believe Cleveland plays a 3-4 defense? All four of their current linebackers are better than JL 55. I don't know why they would be impressed. At minimum it would take a first or second round draft pick to get their attention imo.

Barnidge is much better than Cook as well.

Well, then. Find a suitor(s) for JL, Cook, and Long and wave Philadelphia's second that we own under Cleveland's nose.

JL is just done unfortunately. he's been a good ram but he simply isn't worth anything. Cook is Untradable I believe because of his contract. no one's going to touch that. Do you guys realize cook makes almost as much is Gronk? Same thing goes for long. So the best option is simply cut all of them and Boom $23 million we can spend.

I am not sure that is possible without some sort of cap hit. The contracts of all three are not expired so we would suffer some sort of cap hit by cutting them outright Cougie.

2nd rounder will make it a little easier. 2nd rounder, Foles and Saffold?

That deal would be enticing shopson. But it scares the hell out of me that Fisher is going into next season with Keenum as the number one guy. What a flippin idiot!

I have to think he sees Keenum as the short answer until Mannion or another QB can be brought up to speed. Otherwise....yikes.

The Deadcap hit is very minimal. Looks to be about 4m total.

At pick #15 (other than the BPA) my early thoughts are LT, WR, MLB.

For our two second round picks, I'm interested in TE Hunter Harvey from Arkansas and C Nick Martin from Notre Dame.

For our third round pick, let's see what QB is available (Hogan, Kessler)

In free agency, I would go after WR Travis Benjamin of the Cleveland Browns.

I like that accept the QB in the 3rd. Didn't we do that last year. With Mannon? I'd rather go after a Vet QB in FA.

The latest Mock I saw at Walter Football has us taking Connor Cook, the QB out of Michigan State in the first round. Don't know about that one.

Yeah I agree. Unfortunately I don't think there is a very good quarterback in the draft. I would be shocked if the Rams pick one at all after spending a high pick last year on one. Just pick BPA for the Positions you lose players to in FA or players you cut.

The list of Vet QBs that are actually available is underwhelming to say the least.

I could see drafting a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round that has a different skill set from Mannion; a mobile QB. That would give the Rams two directions to go behind Keenum.

I'm just thinking that's what he had to say without showing his hand. I HOPE that there's another QB in mind via FA or the draft and he isn't actually serious with going with Keenum starting next year.

With the way that Alabama game went, that might be a bad decision. He looked horrible that game, though Alabama has made decent QB's look horrible before.

Here's a list of free agent QB's, courtesy of profootballrumors:

Sam Bradford (29)
Matt Cassel (34)
Jimmy Clausen (29)
Kellen Clemens (33)
Kirk Cousins (28)
Chase Daniel (30)
Ryan Fitzpatrick (34)
Matt Flynn (31)
Bruce Gradkowski (33)
Matt Hasselbeck (41)
Chad Henne (31)
Tarvaris Jackson (33)
Josh Johnson (30)
Case Keenum (28) (R)
Thad Lewis (29)
Luke McCown (35)
Colt McCoy (30)
Matt McGloin (27) (R)
Matt Moore (32)
Dan Orlovsky (33)
Brock Osweiler (26)
Matt Schaub (35)
Drew Stanton (32)
Scott Tolzien (29)
Michael Vick (36)
Joe Webb (30)
Brandon Weeden (33)
Charlie Whitehurst (34)
T.J. Yates (29)

Underwhelming is an understatement there. I'm sure that there will be more on that list once the season concludes. If we don't find a QB in the draft, I would take a flyer on Cousins if the Redskins don't try to franchise tag him or offer him some really high amount. I could see Fisher trying to go a redemption project route with RGIII since he'd be a lot like the guy he went with for a while in Steve McNair.
