Ya I'm not tripping.. The Raiders and the Nation have high HOPES for Carr.. It's his team he is the leader and a huge part going forward..

Oh he definitely is. He is a high potential player. No reason for him to feel threatened if they bring in Ponder. He just brings more competition for the back up Quarterback position on the team. If absolutely necessary he can start if Carr has an injury and Ponder will give you an ok back up to lean on for a game or two.

Who are these lots of people because I haven't seen any. Williams is a good player but when you only play 38% of the defensive snaps and are limited to being a run stopper I just don't see how anybody ranks him over Knighton at this point. They are definitely similar but overall I think Knighton has shown he gives a little more all around game plus is the better run stopper of the two.

I'd like to know also, Knighton was the 2nd best DT available behind Suh.

Picking up Ponder makes sense to me for a few reasons.. For one the guy played for our NEW OC, so he should be able to help Carr a little on what Musgrave likes to do.. And Ponder was a former first round pick that's still young to go along with the young McGloin.. We now have three young QBs, two of which could be trade bait..
