A JJ Cale song, if you met a girl in the late 70's who loved this song you were going to get laid before the night was over. :D

John W. "JJ" Cale; 1938-2013

Certainly not a household name, but well-known in music circles, but one of the greatest of all time (as lauded by fellow musicians...not just my opine).

JJ Cale

Troubadour came out back while I was still in the Air Force....after I bought it I couldn't stop playing it....all the guys in my barracks loved it.
I've got a huge compilation on my iphone I've put together from different albums. The guy had so many good songs, it's hard to do him justice.

I saw him in a club in Savannah, and he says "This lady back there said she'd get up on the table and dance if I played this song, so here we go", and broke into it (I could kick myself in the ass forgetting what it was). Sure enough, she got up and kept her promise. He had this wah wah pedal he used like twice the whole night, but he broke it out on this one, and it was like perfectly timed rockmanship:

One of the architects of the "Tulsa Sound".

You'd freak when you knew how many people it influenced...
