Stafford has a 95 QB rating and he has had CJ at less than 100% for 2 games.

I guess we have short memories and forget about the Stoney Cases and Rodney Peetes that have littered our starting lineups.

I will take Stafford and be grateful Bradford decided to stay in school.

I would also take luck over stafford smitty. was one that was hoping we would somehow trade stafford dor luck. I think hes the only guy i would take over staff if we are talking long term. I think both end up having awesome careers with luck being better.

He has missed a couple throws but it seems it is more the receivers than him lately.

Yeah, but that doesn't absolve him from missing easy throws. Granted his receivers dropped a ton last week. But that's really the first week that's happened. I'm pretty much where jaysfan is... not unhappy but I wish he was more consistently accurate.

Justin Blackmon. Stud. Doesn't matter what QB is at the helm.

One game doesn't make a season....although he did look good last week. But that is only going to last as long as Henne is the QB.

Not the first week it has happened, Lions lead the league in drop rate.

I wasn't talking about one game. He's in beast mode already after only playing in two games. And his rookie year was pretty productive as well. And more than half of that was with Henne too. So yeah, dude makes plays no matter who throws to him.

It would be hard for me to take Luck over Stafford.

2nd to the Pats actually and he's near the bottom of the league in air time per catch at just over 3 yards.... #1 in YAC. None of this is terribly troubling but gives context to his 63% completion % which is 12th in the league.

I'm not unhappy with Stafford's play so far, but he's still missing more throws than I'd like to see.

Took a step back yesterday.

I don't know. He puts the ball up high where only these 6'5 - 6'8 WR's and TE's can get it, and not the defense. It's an adjustment. I think it's something that can be perfected eventually.

Yeah he missed a couple of throws, but he was 3 TD no INT and was ended the Bengals streak of not allowing a 300 yards passer at 20 games. Yes he could have played better, and he needs to figure out his deep ball, but that was a pretty damned good performance.

Again, his stat sheet looks flashy, but his accuracy was brutal. Particularly in the first half.

I watched the Colts game last night and Luck threw his share of bad throws too. Sometimes we are overly critical. Just My Opinion.

Instead of talking about Staff (Who did leave yards and points on the field). Let's talk about why Andy Dalton looked like Peyton Manning against our defense.

For what it's worth Stafford's numbers through 7 games project out to 34 TDs to 9 INTs and just under 4,900 yards over a full 16 games.

So, yes, he's been a bit erratic with some throws, but I think Lionstop is right that we're perhaps being just a bit over-critical here...

It is simple...and I will answer your question with a question...Why does Patrick Edwards look like Isaac Bruce in camp?

He's also at 61% comp and a 95.3 passer rating. Those numbers are more in line with his breakout '11 campaign. I think there have been an equal amount of drops as there have been errant passes. I don't think stafford is the problem here. He's not elite(yet) ;) but he's the best damn option we've had in decades.
