anyone see that TD pass from Romo to the rookie? I can say without a doubt stafford would not have been able to make that throw.
Youre fucking stupid. He made those throws today on the money to Fauria all 3 of them.

On the run? Avoiding a tackle? Pinpointed in the corner of the end zone to a receiver covered by 2 receivers? You my friend, are the fucking idiot

Matthew made enough plays to win the game he played today. Romo can't make some of the throws that the pimp makes.

In fact the O line kept the pimp pretty clean against a much better defense than the Skins so it doesn't matter. He doesn't need to make those throws because the line has his back.

AGREED. Im not saying that Romo is a better QB. Im just saying he's way more accurate. Romo cant throw the rockets that stafford does. And romo has way better receivers besides calvin. But that throw had pinpoint accuracy and power while he was on the run, with very little time for him to make a decision.

On the run? Avoiding a tackle?

How about running to his left and gunning it sidearm to Pettigrew for a key first down?

From last year to this year the areas of improvement have been Special Teams (remember the number of games screwed by ST last year), Defensive Line, and getting a running game. Improvement in those areas have made the other dynamics better.

If that means that the scrutiny can now be passed to Stafford and his refinement or lack thereof, then gentlemen, the Lions are doing just fine. It's a great problem to have.

Romo throws plenty of awful balls...like an underthrown ball to Carpenter for a pick 6.

Last year all you heard was how Staffords mechanics were so bad. He is throwing the same way this season but the Leo's are winning. So now you don't hear that crap. He is young, he is a gamer. He showed some heart and guts today when he ran for the first and spiked the ball. He is playing smarter and is protecting the ball. I think as he keeps playing and gains more exp he will only get better and better.

8 games by a TD or less ....you must remember that team was decimated by injuries...never had that weapon Jahvid Best like they had planned. 2 practice squad receivers starting on a team that threw the most passes in the league. Not to mention his TD numbers were down but had a whole heckuva a lot of passes down to very close to the goal line. I don't know how many garbage yards you can have with that many close games.

It's hard to blow people out in the NFL. (Like the NBA, blowouts hurt viewership) Coming back to lose by five, is still a loss. Im still annoyed CJ broke Rices record in a game we lost while we just kept chucking passes. Maybe we made it close, I dont remember, and it doesnt matter. Falcons were in control. Almost as annoyed as I am at Brees and the Saints for running up a score to break a meaningless yardage record.

Lots of horrid D and special teams blunders led to most of that. Seemed like the offense never woke up until the 2nd half last year. We damn sure couldnt run the ball. None of that is Staffords fault. I just love how clutch he is regardless of what happens...that is a skill that cannot be taught and he has repeatedly shown he is clutch. I never feel we are out of it or not confident in our ability to comeback. The reason we are 4-2 this year is because our D, special teams, and run game have improved tremendously...coming up with key plays. Yes, Stafford has protected the ball better and set up for his throws better, a LOOOOT less backfoot throws. But without the big punt return or levy's key interceptions....or Suh's sack fumble that Fairley returned we are 2-4.

I think were 2-4 without Sam Martin, but that's my .02 cents.

He has protected the ball better. And has cut out most of the back foot throws. (Those piss me off just like the sidearm garbage) But that is where Scotty comes in. The offense has been limited this season. Not by including only what Staff does well, but by excluding what he doesn't. Rather than improve on certain areas of his game his superiors have decided that the team has a better chance to win by limiting the types of passes the QB throws. That's what Geno Smith, EJ Manuel, Pryor and other raw guys need. Not fifth year vets. IMO, his yardage numbers have hidden a great deal of glaring flaws in his game. And this season, those flaws have been hidden by throwing hitch passes, dumpoffs and screens. (I don't miss the out routes, Staff was god awful at them. PickCity on out routes)
