Call me crazy, but if Tkachuk isn't the guy back-checking hard on the play and the end result isn't a devastating injury for Scheifele, this doesn't get any where near this much attention.
Scheifele is prob my favorite non-Canuck, and Tkachuk is a cheap player at the best of times, but that was 100% an accident.Call me crazy, but if Tkachuk isn't the guy back-checking hard on the play and the end result isn't a devastating injury for Scheifele, this doesn't get any where near this much attention.
Bizarre skate raise and angle going into the boards. Was tkachuk trying to break his own ankle? The second angle they show makes it look bad, doesn't look like he's bracing himself or attempting to change direction.

Listen, I think we all know what’s needed here is a forensic investigation.Call me crazy, but if Tkachuk isn't the guy back-checking hard on the play and the end result isn't a devastating injury for Scheifele, this doesn't get any where near this much attention.
If anything, he was trying for an excuse me slew footBizarre skate raise and angle going into the boards. Was tkachuk trying to break his own ankle?

Yah probably, get a piece of his leg locked to the boards so hes out of the play
cross checked scheifele in the back earlier in the shift![]()
So really this is all the referees’ fault.Yeah, he sure did - Surprised he got away with that one.

Oh I’m definitely saying it. They let shit go and bad shit happens. Example: Leafs-Bruins game 2 last season.lol - Not saying that exactly, but you wonder if Tkachuk is in the sinbin for that cross-check and if the Jets capitalize on the ensuing PP if it takes some pep out of Matt's step![]()
