Giving up 2 high draft picks for a one yr rental fail is bad business
Let hope he is a one year rental. Literally, everything the experts said, former teams players said, former teams fans said, and his own history have come true.

The trade was bad from the get-go and many people pointed that out. Rivera created this mess and he continues to only lose games, he is destroying the roster.

Rivera is on pace for having 3 winning seasons out of 13. Why in the world does he deserve yet another year? We are noticeably worst than Philly and DAL, and the NYG look improved as well. I have us 4th in the NFC East and I think our record is accurate at this point.

We can blame the WRs, OLine, Turner, and Rivera...blame anybody you want. The bottom line is that Wentz is always part of the problem with a team. If this wasn't true, he wouldn't be on his 3rd team in 3 years. He is reckless with the ball and chokes when the game is on the line. I literally have no idea why anyone would defend Wentz. His career speaks for itself. We will be the 3rd fanbase to celebrate when he is off the roster.

Rivera should have rolled with TH/Howell, saved the draft picks, and used that 28 million to shore up the OLine and Secondary. We were never just a QB away from competing. That was pointed out several times.

Good teams capitalize on 2nd and 3rd round picks. That is what separates good teams like the Chiefs and Ravens, and WSH. Rivera was ignorant of the Colts only getting our call and threw away the pick when it was never necessary.

Even beat writers are admitting what is happening

Seasons can change on a dime but I think we are already left sucking dust.
Like I said, Rivera will pull out a few wins and convince the fan base/Snyder he is going to turn it around.

Even if the team plays the way it did against JAX, that same team is behind Philly, DAL, and maybe NYG.

After all the draft picks we gave up for a QB this is nothing. He was worth a 3rd., This year's pick was overkill. Never should have happened but it did. Ryan got a 3rd round pick, and he is old. So, whether it's a 2nd or 3rd in the 23 draft it not a huge deal. Yes, the contract hurts. No doubt about it but we can get rid of it next year. So, to sum up the future isnt compromised b/c we got Wentz.
Giving up a 3 and a 2 for what COULD be (haven't given up on him) a one year rental is a huge deal.

Heinicke is probably looking at Wentz and saying "dude, if I had Samuel and Dotson

I agree.

TH might put up the same results as Wentz as TH is a much more mobile QB. Clearly, TH does not have the size, strength or experience as Wentz. But.....he does have mobility. Wentz has declined quite a bit with his mobility as many pundits have pointed out.

Even DAL were commenting about how quickly Wentz is going downhill.

I got caught up at work. I was going to say Heinicke is probably looking at Wentz and saying if I had Samuel and Dotson.

Wentz is looking at Heinicke and saying if I had Scherff and Flowers.

Its not a huge deal like the RG3 trade. Plus, we get an extra 3rd rounder b/c of BS.

Dean, that huge deal to throw away two.day two picks for 17 weeks of service. You will not convince me otherwise.

The only way to justify that trade is if Wentz earns a second contract from us. If the Skins say at the end of the year, I'd rather have Wentz than 28m in cap space, with a QB rich draft around the corner, it means he balled out.

I understand

They have such a low opinion of TH and all of the qb's in the draft that they were willing to give up draft picks and pay for Wentz. When Howell fell to the 5th round, I guess they were like what the hell. Thye must have had a higher grade on him than a 5th.

Howell before he lost all his weapons was the pre season 1st overall fav.

we dont know if it's a one-year rental yet and a 3rd round pick is not high draft pick
dean you laid out a situation where you said we can get out of his contract at the end of the season as a justification for making the trade . that is what i am responding too

dumb we could have had a 1st , a 2nd and 3 rd's . that' s 4 potential starters . the RG3 trade literally set the franchise back 1/2 the decade

In deans defense skinsdad, I think he was trying to say the Wentz deal wasn't a big deal like the RG3 deal was.

So far the wentz trade sucks, but what he does well, which is throw the deep ball when he has time, is something that TH could never do.

Even if TH gets in the game, defenses would still play within ten yards of the LOS knowing full well that TH’s lack of arm strength negates the wrs straightaway speed. There’s no Tyreek Hill on this roster - ridiculous quick twitch speed in addition to good technique and sprinters straightaway speed.

Neither qb is helped out by poor playcalling that reacts too slowly to what the defenses are doing, and also puts their own best players in suboptimal positions for success.

We’re a fucking mess, completely orchcestrated by Rivera. Its beyond frustrating that the Eagles have built three potential super bowl teams in the same span as the redskins 20 years of futility, the giants look light years better than they did LAST YEAR, while benching their “star players” from last year (Golliday) or high draft picks sucking (Toney), or productive players signing elsewhere (Engram), and the cowboys - despite their clockwork meltdowns and meddlesome ownership are all better equipped to be successful both in the near future and five years out than we are.

Fuck, even the Jets look better than we do.

Fucking sad.

Looks like Matt Ryan is having a rough start to the Denver game. Perhaps Irsay runs him out of town by seasons end? Lol.
