Now before I get started let me say TA3 is a good qb and getting him all the reps he can get just makes sense going into next season.

Buuuut does anyone else think Kellogg would likely have a hell of a passing game versus the Penn St defense?

We're going to be in real trouble next year unless Stanton is the next Jamesissis'es Winston, watching TA today makes me think we might go after a Juco QB. Im thinking at this point Johnny would throttle TA next spring

time will tell, but Im cautiously optomistic. I cussed a player a few years back cuz every time he touched the ball it ended up on the ground. I thought they should have pulled his scholly. then he had a couple pretty good games and everyone loved him and called him Rex.

We have a pretty beat up team right now Lou and when I take a step back and view the whole picture, it could have been a lot uglier.

I hope you're right Lou. JS is the only other QB we'll have next year behind TA, and he will have not taken a snap since HS in well over a year

TA is the QB. He will be fine. Penn State is a bad football team. You know, bad, like a lot of folks on here THINK Nebraska is.

Well as long as we set our standards to just be better than teams serving monumental NCAA sanctions, we won't have a whole lot of disappointment.

TA is fine. He is young and needs coaching.

I got an idea! How about we get a qb coach? Remember the year before when Beck "didn't have time to work with the quarterbacks" because he was installing a new offense?
:wtf:

We got the money, hire someone dedicated to working full time with the most important piece of the puzzle.

So your saying that a grad assistant isn't the answer?

Sorry, a momentary lapse of sanity there. I forgot we have The Bo, we don't need anything else.

Mostly, being shackled with fans who think they know about the game than the people who get paid to coach it.

The problems in the program are the fans.

Interesting philosophy.

I have been on both sides of this fence and I am not going to judge any fan that is tired of this. I personally don't feel this one should be on the coaches but certainly understand why a fan would decide enough is enough.
Personally I give Pelini a pass on this one (except for the fact that Els is still listed as a coach today) but I am afraid in the long run we will end up at the same place anyway. Bo has got to put a team together that can compete from 00:01 to 60:00. So far he has been unable to.

I think very few people believe they know more than Bo about coaching. But most are smart enough to interpret the results. The result, over six seasons, does not satisfy the standards of a lot of fans. Only the ones who's standards have diminished. Those who are happy with 8-9 wins every year while being in two of the softest divisions in the BCS AQ conferences, don't reflect the standards that I (or a lot of fans) have for this program.

Personally, I think it was nerves. Big Game and TA knew it. It was his moment to shine or play like a redshirt freshman.

Now, if TA does it this week, after having gone through a pressure cooker, maybe he ain't got what it takes to be the QB. Which leaves Stanton and Darlington. Hopefully, the pressure is off just a bit and TA can play like TA can play. He was really good in high school.

I will admit, watching his deep throws drives me nuts. They look like ducks to me and it gives the defense time to get back to them. I am willing to give TA another week to act like he wants to be the starter and not a charity, by giving the ball away.

I like Tommy and think that he will be a stud next year if we give him the reps.He isnt doing bad for being thrust into the starting role behind a patchwork offensive line.

I was merely saying that Ronnie would likely throw the ball all over the yard against the PSU defense.

Dont worry Bo hasnt asked for my input once this season anyways.
