QB Jacoby Brissett needs surgery, to go on IR

Brissette was officially placed on IR today (Friday 10/7). He is gone for the remainder of the season. Weird that he's been at practice all week, but didn't really do anything except watch Brady.

Word being passed around is that Belichick will not activate Brady until the plane lands in Cleveland and the team has settled into the hotel. Brady will not be accessible to the press until after the game Sunday.......at least that's the plan.

Ninkovich may not be activated for Sunday. He hasn't practiced since the preseason and BB certainly doesn't want him to get hurt.

Patriots activated DE Rob Ninkovich from the reserve/suspended list.

Ninkovich was given a 4-6 week timetable for his triceps issue in early August. He wasn't listed on the Week 5 injury report and will make his 2016 debut against the Browns. Ninkovich's return will improve a New England pass rush that has seven sacks through four weeks.

Glad to get TB and Nink back. After seeing how bad the Niners looked on Thursday, the rumors of a Garoppolo trade may resurface. I assume Kelley may be forced to start Kaepernick in the next game. If he lays an egg, the Niners could be looking for a new QB. With Brissett on IR, BB would need to sign a vet QB as a backup (TJ Yates?). If true, it would be hard to pass up two firsts and a third for a backup QB. It would take Brissett at least 2 years to be ready for a full time starting job and TB might be ready to hang it up by then.

Brady appears to be getting younger rather than older like the rest of us. If Guererro's diet can keep TB from getting older, I wonder if it could make me start getting younger?

None the less, Chip Kelly's job may hinge on winning a few games with or without Kap at QB. If he could get JG, it might save him, it night not. Winning is not just the QB, it's a team thing.......that team has more than a QB issue.

Brissett doesn't have two years. He the remainder of this year and he better be ready to step in as soon as he's needed next year, if he is needed. I don't think he looked all that bad before he hurt his thumb, but that's me and not BB.

No passes because it was garbage time.
He hurt his left shoulder and only needed to not eat the turf.
He was in to reassure the potential suitors that he was ok.
I like both our backups but Jimmy is more ready.
For a game and a half, Jimmy had a quick release. Just before he got hurt, he started to hold the ball a little longer. Some lessons are painful!
Jimmy's not going anywhere until Brissett is ready.
