Boye Mafe has lived in the backfield the 1st 2 games. Let's see him get there again and keep him healthy. I think he has a great season.

I don't see any reason to march him out this game. He should be the starter 100% opposite of Nwosu (which the current depth chart no surprise shows). He was good in run defense last year and struggled in pass rush which he has VASTLY improved on.

And that's zero surprise. When Mafe was drafted he was considered very raw and most analysts/scouts commented that he'd need to sit at LEAST a year and HOPEFULLY pick it up game wise. He appears to have done just that and didn't put in a bad rookie performance when subbed in. His intangibles athletically were as good as any other impact EDGE player in the league which is why he was slotted as a late 1st/early 2nd pick.

I think if he'd gone back to school another year and progressed like he has he would've been a top 10 pick for sure this draft. Should be interesting to see how it translates to this season but there is absolutely zero reason to march Taylor or Hall out there as the EDGE opposite Nwosu. IMO I'd let Mafe 100% rest this game.

Oh Jacksons playing and he was a starter, but isn't even the 3rd best CB on this team this year.

Since they went to the 3 game preseason the 3rd game is the hardest to watch. I'm a little disgusted that the Hawks spot #2's ( QB ) 3's and 4's were playing the Packers 1's. That just rubs me the wrong way and sours this game even more.

Big difference when Seattle's 2 and 3 Offense going against Green bays 2's and 3's.

I'm personally upset that Cobe doesn't get a better chance at outside CB. Now that said I can also say that I'm nowhere near a coach and Carroll has been one of the best secondary gurus of all time... but I would love to see Bryant/Woolen outside... and then Witherspoon just never drafted by us.

MJ only got the start last season because of Injury, He is over hyped. He was the weakest link on the back end last season since Jamal Adams wasn't back there LMAO!

Brown and Witherspoon shouldn't have a hard time beating out Jackson.

Because Bryant was the Nickle Brown was the CB that Jackson replaced and Jackson was not suited for Nickle. Now you know a thing or two about a thing or two lol.

Bryant didn't play nickel at all in College (please correct me if wrong). His natural position was an outside corner. Michael Jackson was also rated as a slightly below average corner but still made plays last year.. he wasn't great, but not many teams have two great CBs.

Pete said and i repeat " Bryant will play Nickle for us to get him on the field and Nickle is a starter for us". His 2nd position was CB. Jackson was practicing at CB and was the #2 CB on that side behind Brown. Jacksons ONLY position was CB and Bryant was the starting Nickle.
