Tempers flared and tensions heightened after yesterday's peaceful SportsHoopla protest for more favorite teams slots turned ugly when epithets were hurled and the protest was shut down by automated skimming servers. No arrests or bannings were made but the yanked protest had a chilling effect on several key players in the protest movement. Several formerly outspoken critics have reversed their stance on the proposal to add more than three slots to display favorite teams, most notably the attorney who filed suit against SportsHoopla:
Others, however, remained firm in their stance that SportsHoopla deprives members of a basic humanitarian right to bandwagon whatever the fuck they damn well please for comedic purposes, otherwise known as "trawling" in on-line lingo.

Still others sought some middle ground, and while backing away from their original demands of 8 to 10 alternate slots for favorite teams, they remained firm in their beliefs that more favorite team slots would lead to a better, more enjoyable SportsHoopla experience:
