Wow. Whattt is going on in PA? Seriously. With Pronger and Giroux out East, and Sid, Letang, and Michalek out West. There's something in the water. But on the Pronger news, I have a feeling (can't back this up with any book knowledge) that age is playing a big factor. Everyone heals at different rates when it comes to concussions, but aging can't help that./

i consider pronger de facto retired.. probably gunna get some cap circumvention with him perma-ltir for the next 6 years.. flyers lucked out w/ his contract if they cant stick him there

2 knee surgeries, a back surgery, and a concussion, in 10 months, for a 36 year old 'physical' d-man.. he's done.

They'll probably just LTIR him to get help there at least. Not a lot, but something.

Really starting to think that it's time for drastic changes. Time for a complete ban on headshots. Incidental or intentional need to be handled. I know a lot of you guys won't agree, and that a portion of these wouldn't have been prevented with such a rule, but it's an idea that needs to be taken into account...90% of these are likely preventable. I know people keep saying that players need to be respectful of each other...but if they can't do that on their own, then the league needs to take action. This is ridiculous.

Awaz, we are stuck with his contract for another 6 years. he's over 35. We are fucked. I think he's done. It's time to look into Weber or Suter. That's if the Preds are willing to deal.

You're not gonna be picking up either of those guys with Prongers contract on your hands. The Flyers are very lucky that they got rid of the abomination of Carter's contract...but Giroux is up fairly soon, right?
