Pronger injury

I read on one of the Philly paper sites that he wasn't limping, and it isn't his knee. Although he said he isn't 100% yet with his knee, he took a shot off the toe. Left the game after that.

According to Panaccio, it is a foot/ankle injury. Once can only hope there isn't a major fracture or break there...

I read speculation that it is a fractured toe. He is seeing the foot and ankle specialist Friday morning and we should know more this afternoon. He did have xrays and if there was no fracture we probably would have heard something. The hope is that it is a 2-3 week injury at most. I think an 8 day break is coming up which would keep the # of games missed down.

THis might not be so bad. THere is a lull in the schedule, and he should really rest up that knee anyway.

as one of the resident pronger bashers, i'm not that worried.. i am curious to see what they do with the pairs though.. dress bart (obvious) and then play him with carle and make them the 3rd pair? or do you shuffle? i'd probably go with the former, the other 2 pairs have played too well together

THey are a pretty deep team with just enough reserves that they should be fine. You don't want to see too many injuries, but in December, letting Pronger fully heal his knee and get some minutes off the ice is a good thing...

hahaha.. for it to operate right, the units need to be chosen properly.. why on god's green earth are briere/hartnell/leino on different PP units?.. why is nodl getting pp time instead of Z?.. why doesn't richie play on the point a little bit?.. why did pronger play with timmo instead of his normal partner in carle? (it worked in the past, but hasn't this season)

i just dont understand these decisions.. if it was working that'd be one thing, but it's not working at all

Awaz is right and I said it before DB's line knows exactly where everyone is going at all times so why move Leino off that line and put Carts out there on the PP? I could see Harts being sat for a sniper but then who stands in front of the net?

I think Lavy wants to keep everyone happy so we end up with these weird ineffective combo's...who cares right now cuz they're winning but come playoffs there's no time to F around and not hurt somene's feelings....
