Are they or are they not? I mean they lost to the best team they’ve played since then. Wins over two over rated AFC teams in the Chargers and Dolphins. Those games had little to do with CMac. The Niners beat the shit out of those teams on the line of scrimmage.

My bottom line is that he's the #1 NFC RB in yards from scrimmage. He didn't even start that KC game. He didnt even know the playbook yet, but ok they've gone 6-1 since he showed up if it makes you happy.

But the Niners early schedule, when they lost to the Bears, Falcons and Broncos, while beating the Hawks, Rams & Panthers was no more difficult than their schedule since he joined.

He's #3 in all purpose yardage for RB's, needs to work harder next year.......
So good his team didn't want him anymore this year. Any RB produces in Shanahan's system.

Hardly an impressive year.

I think once the probowl allowed everyone to have a vote on who gets in. It lost its meaning. When it was just your peers voting is one thing. People that know the game & the players. its one thing. When it is a bunch of fan votings (Name recognition, popularity contest) It became a joke.
& its been a joke for a very long time.

Lol.. excuse me? He has more yards from scrimmage than any RB in the NFC and while I'm sure there are other reasons, the 49ers season has been a story of before McCaffrey (3-4) and after McCaffrey (6-0). But I get it.. you have to do this because Miles Sanders would be the RB on the bubble.
Miles Sanders has 11 rushing TDs and over 1100 rushing yards. And rushes for the best team in the league. He's a lock for RB.

Maybe you could try to slip mccaffrey in there as a WR. He has more yards from scrimmage than AJ Brown and CeeDee Lamb and Terry! Drrr

NFC QBs are so terrible* that Goff is somehow a snub.

*not counting Hurts

I stopped caring about Pro Bowls a long time ago.
Players stopped caring a long time ago as well. Except some newer guys.
So many players opt out. It ends up with a ton of the NFL being considered probowl players.
Seen players with big names not even complete a season & get in when some lesser known guy clearly out played them not get in.

It was refreshing seeing the skins video @jarntt posted.

To me.
Name the All-Pros & the alternate All-Pros (no fan voting) & be done with it.

He also has more yards from scrimmage than Sanders.. a lot more and McCaffrey is not a WR. He's a RB with 927 yards rushing and 623 receiving. A RB who can be very effective in the passing game is an asset and a point in their favor. Do you understand that? Because it seems as if you dont.

He does have a 2 fewer TDs than Sanders, but he also threw for one and his first 6 game were with the Panthers ffs where there probably weren't as many scoring opportunites. He's a more important piece of the Niners offense than Sanders is for the Eagles.

I really like lions Oline future. Outside of rg, which needs its long time starter, average age of the line is 25.5. No player over 30. It is built for long term if they don't mess it up.

Key swing player is Evan Brown, but my guess is he is starting somewhere else next year.

Got to love the pro bowl. A total popularity vote. Voted on by a bunch of pink hatters who like someone's uniform or they heard that name on tv before. Sure a bunch of deserving players do get voted in. Half won't play because of injury or they'll be in the SB. Then there is the game which is another fiasco and has had many threads already. Do these numbers scream pro bowl?

He’s been the most over rated guy in football for years.

This is the cherry on top.

And don't forget your boys also have two 1st rounders in the upcoming draft, with one of them likely being a top 5 pick. You have a divisional rival Bears fan here who has already called for the Lions to win the Norris in '23.

Pumped for those, but I want all 4 picks in the first 2 rounds to be defense. Won't be upset of they take the G from Florida though

Is it because they've cancelled the actual game altogether or does that not go into effect until the following season?

I forgot that you also have two 2nd rounders to boot. Yikes!! And yeah, I'd understand why Lions fans would prefer using these picks on the D side of the ball, being your offense is pretty solid already.

so dont understand why you choose who did the best in a season (allegedly) so early in a season. A lot of spots should still be up for grabs.

So now just get a hot start to the season & welcome to the probowl? Playing well in the 2nd half of the season is the true talent.

Agreed, that certainly wasn't my argument, just wondering out loud what made them pick the roster so early. I can't think of any other reason.

I was surprised to see that too. The claim was that he's having a better year than Cousins and he actually is. I didn't realize that. Cousins has 200 more yards and 1 more TD but that's about it. Worse Rating, worse QBR, 4 more Ints, been sacked twice as many times as Goff... and Cousins has better targets too.
