So much for the potential of Ponder and Gabbert.
Vick was the best QB in the league that year. He sucked last year. True story. And comparing him to Vick is moronic. They really don't play that much alike.
This is ridiculous..... I said very clearly in the post that I was impressed by the play of the rookie quarterbacks -- What wasn't there to like? Ponder just put up a very efficient 18-28 (100+ rating) in his third start. I also mentioned that Gabbert was overplaying his expectations (I expected him to suck).
It's not like I said any of these guys were the next all-pros (though I probably did say that about Vick).
Or, better yet, it's not like I said Kellen Moore could be just as good as Drew Brees like a few folks I know around here.
I wasn't making fun of what you said. I was just saying that they suck now.

Fantastic mock by august. Man was I a dick and way too hard on David Wilson. I admit that. Though I still think Miller will be a better RB.
Yikes, those early mocks were off a bit. Zeitler as a 5th rounder? Gilmore as a 3rd rounder?
I don't take the player evaluations seriously until the draft season starts. that's when the actual NFL personnel guys rate the players. the draftnik types opinions don't count for much[/QUOTE]
I'm referring to the Scouts Inc (Kyper/McShay) types, just for clarification..
I'm sure they have good contacts with good knowledge of the prospects, but I don't think they know how to grade players on the same level as NFL front offices
