This is ridiculous..... I said very clearly in the post that I was impressed by the play of the rookie quarterbacks -- What wasn't there to like? Ponder just put up a very efficient 18-28 (100+ rating) in his third start. I also mentioned that Gabbert was overplaying his expectations (I expected him to suck).

It's not like I said any of these guys were the next all-pros (though I probably did say that about Vick).

Or, better yet, it's not like I said Kellen Moore could be just as good as Drew Brees like a few folks I know around here.

Vick was the best QB in the league that year. He sucked last year. True story. And comparing him to Vick is moronic. They really don't play that much alike.

They're similar style QB's.

Seems somewhat amazing that Ponder, Gabbert, and Locker were drafted so high a few years ago...... I'm guessing we'll see the same thing with that Syracuse kid and the FSU qb -- Teams are going to reach for guys that will likely suck.

Zietler going in the 5th round, drafting Chase Minnifield in the 1st or 2nd (he went undrafted), and David Wilson, 'a 3rd rounder'

Wouldn't say Cam sucks, but he's FAR from being 'good.' Mediocre at best and will never be a top 10 QB in the league.

A lot of People just tend to repeat what they hear on ESPN and NFL network, if the media keeps telling them a QB has no chance they just shake their heads and agree.

he was great in 2010. the next time a former #1 overall pick with 4.3 speed and the strongest arm in the league posts a triple digit passer rating with 9 rushing TDs..

I don't take the player evaluations seriously until the draft season starts. that's when the actual NFL personnel guys rate the players. the draftnik types opinions don't count for much

I'm referring to the Scouts Inc (Kyper/McShay) types, just for clarification..

I'm sure they have good contacts with good knowledge of the prospects, but I don't think they know how to grade players on the same level as NFL front offices
