So your probably enjoying this nice balmy, smoke free day as well ? :)

LOL, yeah. I heard that the fire was in Paradise but I haven't checked it out on the news. Just stayed indoors at work for the most part and then headed into the AC when I got home.

Oh, shoot, you're about an hour away from me or so. It's been so long ago that KFFL was (I think) only the 2nd message board I joined. It was great fun but we just ran out of stuff to talk about in the off season.

Hey man - good to see you - here. Long time no see.

Heck of a drive near the end of the half there. Started at the 2. Couple 32 yard passes. 27 yard run from Ridley. 3 yard score from Ridley. Good drive.

Followed by a pick 6. Wish this game counted.

Thanks I saw on my phone it was Dymonte Thomas. He and Orion Stewart are sorta battling for a PS job. I thought Stewart had the edge but ya never know that could change something.

We have a Heuerman siting. He looked really good on his only catch so far to set up our FG.

Outside of that first possession Sloter's looked pretty good. You can tell he's not NFL ready but he has talent.

Nice to see Schofield actually playing like he belongs. Sure it's against backups but at least he's showing he's not completely useless.

Sloter has to make the team with his showing tonight. I wouldn't trust him against starters but he's proven he will get picked up by someone if we try to put him on the practice squad

Man, what a game. Sloter looked horrible at first dealing with no run blocking and no pass protection, then he made enough mistakes on his own to really hurt the team badly. But he bounced back and made play after play. I hope they can find a way to keep him.

Going to be hard to cut both Thompson and Ridley considering they both look pretty good.

I can understand doing it though. Ridley won't be as rough because he was sort of hired gun and he was given his shot. He was a camp body and depth insurance with a chance to light it up if he was capable of doing that. Unfortunately he never seemed to be able run behind a competent O-Line so we may never know how good he is until we see him playing for someone else, but he was solid. Impressive in streaks but mostly solid. Anderson and Booker should be able to give us what Ridley could. Thompson is a rough cut for me because I like the guy. He has just never been able to cement his 'niche' on the team. I think he could be an effective #2FB but I doubt two are carried. So....Anderson/Booker and Charles/Henderson with Janovich at FB. I think that's the best five guys if we keep five. Now they have to play the 'Would you rather?' game. Sloter at #3QB or Ridley/Thompson at #5RB? How about all of those linemen, those receivers, those front seven players...who would you rather keep?

I am more concerned with the LG position. McGovern, Barbre, Garcia. And who gets picked up for OT depth? Will we keep 7, 8, or 9 OL? I would lean towards 8.

Not it isn't.

This was basically 3rd teamers vs 3rd teamers tonight.

Hate to see them go, but easy cuts.

Don't get the major love for Sloter around here. Might be that he is a Northern Colorado player. I like him as a PS player. If we don't find a vet QB obviously we have to have him as our 2nd, but I think some are way over hyping him around here. He has done some nice things, but he is so far away from being NFL ready. Then again, that happened the day we picked him up because the Colorado folks love Colorado folks, and I get it. I am the same way for Iowa and Florida. and then again Paxton Lynch is so far away from being NFL ready as well.

Also, we have reached out to QB Aaron Murray who was a Chiefs backup for a few years. Might be giving him a workout this week.

There is no way we keep 5 RB's when none excel on special teams. Keeping 4 is tough but looks like we will be keeping 4...

Only reason we keep 3 QB's is because Lynch is hurt or else we'd keep 2. Vance Joseph said so himself before Lynch was injured.
