Preseason schedule

I'm not a big fan of this year's schedule. A week and a half passes between game one and two, then 3 games in the span of 10 days.

May be that this 2nd game vs the Steelers will be used as the dress rehearsal game, rather than the traditional 3rd game of the preseason.

Opening Monday night for preseason and then again for regular season. Seems a lot of respect being given to us these days. It's good to be king

It's good to have some weekends free to travel during the regular season.

The only possible questionable game is the 3rd preseason game. A lot of players will not play in the last preseason game. That game has to be scheduled earlier in the week to allow more preparation time for the opener. I don't see any real issues with any of this.

i dont really believe in dress rehearsal games and their alleged importance . i get what is being done but i dont give a lot of any credence to how important performance is . to me its the 1st time playing through a half and issues will arise

Yep. I am pretty sure that if teams were not allowed to tack on preseason games to season ticket packages (at full price) you would only see 2 preseason games total. I laugh when I see some of the conclusions being developed after these games are analyzed by analysts on ESPN (sometimes after only reviewing a few series) - give me a break.

To give you an example as to just how meaningless this first game was, Pat White is being hailed as a great QB when he won't even make the team. In pre-season the 3rd game is the only important one. Coaches somewhat put a game plan together for the team to follow. All other games are evaluating who won't make the team since they already know 40 players who will.
