I think the Rams beat the Jets this weekend. Only negative is it will take the pressure off Fisher for a week to start Goff. If they lose to the Jets the pressure will go to a new level.
Well I have preseason predicted the last 3 games correctly and my comments are near spot on. Also with the Rams at 4-5, I have predicted the correct win loss record as well.Sept. 12, at (1-0) San Francisco 49ers, (Mon), 10:20 Loss (0-1)
(Tough close loss on the road for MNF, Rams should have won easily as mistakes cost them)
Sept. 18, (1-1) Seattle Seahawks, 4:05 Win (1-1)
(A bounce back game as Gurley has a career game vs Seattle and the defense is ready for the Hawks!)
Sept. 25, at (1-2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 4:05 Loss (1-2)
(More road blues for the rookie QB & company)
Oct. 2, at (3-1) Arizona Cardinals, 4:25 Loss (1-3)
(Again, too much for the rookie on the road)
Oct. 9, (2-3) Buffalo Bills, 4:25. Win (2-3)
(Home sweet home, the long cross country trip, trips up the Bills. Rams win a close defensive game)
Oct. 16, at (2-4) Detroit Lions, 1:00. Win (3-3)
(Finally a road win! The Defense gets the game ball)
Oct. 23, (4-3) New York Giants (London), 9:30 AM. Loss (3-4)
(The 11 hour flight takes it toll, Rams look bad in London once again)
BYE Thank God for BYE weeks!!
Nov. 6, (6-2) Carolina Panthers, 4:05. Loss (3-5)
(The bye didn't help, Rams lose a close one at home against the AFC Champs)
Nov. 13, at (5-5) New York Jets, 1:00. Win (4-5)
(Second road win, Rams win take the squeaker, look to have turned a corner with solid play)
Nov. 20, (3-6) Miami Dolphins, 4:05. Win (5-5)
(Playing at Home feels right, specially against East Coast teams! Gurley goes off!)
Nov. 27, at (5-6) New Orleans Saints, 1:00. Win (6-5)
(Defense shuts down the Saints and the Rams have enough offense & finally get above .500!)
Dec. 4, at (8-4) New England Patriots, 1:00. Loss (6-6)
(Rams still not ready to hang with the big boys & get embarrassed by the Pats once again)
Dec. 11, (7-6) Atlanta Falcons, 4:25. Win (7-6)
(Goff feeling more comfortable at home, lights up the Falcons defense. The Rams find themselves in a decent position for a wild card spot!)
Dec. 15, at (9-5) Seattle Seahawks (Thu), 8:25. Loss (7-7)
(The National stage is still too much for Goff and company, especially on the road in Seattle. This game proves to be the game that virtually eliminates the Rams and lifts the Hawks in the NFC Wild Card race.)
Dec. 24, (4-11) San Francisco 49ers (Sat), 4:25. Win (8-7)
(Goff redeems himself from the MNF loss in Week 1 and gives a nice Christmas present to all Rams fans dominating their Rival! Rams on the outside looking in but still in the playoff hunt)
Jan. 1, (12-4) Arizona Cardinals, 4:25 Win (9-7)
(Cardinals win the division the week prior and have nothing to play for resting their starters, the Rams win easily but fail to make the playoffs)
Note: All records listed are post game match-up records.
The Dolphins game I don't think will be as easy of a game as I was thinking at the beginning of the season. They're on a roll right now after winning their 4th straight game yesterday and have a lot of momentum on their side.Well I have preseason predicted the last 3 games correctly and my comments are near spot on. Maybe the Rams get to 9-7 as I predicted and maybe not.
A lot will determine if my Gurley comment for next week vs the Dolphins is near correct or not.
The Fins finally get a road win on their fourth try this season beating the hapless Chargers, who are in worse shape than the Rams. The Dolphins game I don't think will be as easy of a game as I was thinking at the beginning of the season. Like I said in my preseason prediction, Gurley goes off.
Yes, book it!
Gurley gets his first 100 yard rushing game this season. The Dolphins are 30 in the league in Rush Defense giving up an average of 130 yards per game.
Hapless means unfortunate or unlucky, no?Not sure I agree with your take on the Chargers. That failure this weekend was firmly on the shoulders of Rivers (4 INTs!), but otherwise they have been strong competition. They lost in OT to KC, best Jax firmly, lost @ Indy by 4, lost to NO by 3, lost @ Oakland by 3, beat Denver, beat Atlanta, lost @ Denver by 8, beat Tennessee, and lost to Miami by 7. All losses by 1 possession, with 3 of those 6 close losses to likely playoff teams.
Hapless means unfortunate or unlucky, no?
Also, the Chargers are trailing every team in their Division by 3 games and while they did get the split with Denver, they can do no better than that with both the Raiders and Chiefs. They are also 3 games out of the AFC Wild Card spot too.
The Chargers are in worse shape than the Rams.
Not sure what you disagree with.
No, I was talking overall.I think you guys are talking about different things...You Vita are talking about the win/loss record, Shopson is talking about the state of the team overall(a.k.a. talent and coaching)regardles of record... But I could be wrong

Why do I have a feeling that we will go up to Seattle and pull a game out of out asses, simply because for whatever reason, Seattle is the only team we seem to actually care about facing every year.Nope SE, we simply go 4-12 no matter who we play last.

C'mon, Rams have to at least beat the Niners...
