Prediction Friday.....Season #3....Game 1

Well gang, here we go again! Only this time we start the season in prime time (Monday) against the Steelers. If there are any lessons that we can take away from the preseason they are Pittsburg is hurting a bit and our boys are making too many mistakes. On balance this should be a game that we should win, the only drawback is as mentioned PRIME TIME (Monday night) where our guys rarely distinguish themselves. The question is.....do they break the prime time bug or does it bite them yet again. As much as I hate to do this I'm going Steelers 24 - 21 at the gun.

As usual we ask who wins, a final score, player(s) of the game, and Memorial moment, event or play, that will have them buzzing at the water cooler on Tuesday morning. Good luck one and all!!

I got 28-17 Skins. Now another starter is out for the Steelers in Wheaton. If AB is not double teamed on every play I will be flipping out. Im not afraid of their other offensive weapons.

I was really impressed with D'Angelo Williams when he filled in last year, one of the most underrated players in the league over the years. I know it shouldn't matter, totally different player and coaches, but it can't be overlooked that we always lay an egg on prime time night games. Always. And until that changes I have no reason to believe that will change.

I think this one gets away from us early, Ben and Williams have big games, and we are never in it. 31-17 Steelers.

Don't judge anything by preseason. We see it every year, there is zero correlation between preseason and real season.

Maybe, DGF. But KC did not get many live reps in pre season, which worries me. I think he comes out with a bit of rust. Consequently, I think he has an off night, with maybe 2 picks, both in the first half. Pitt leads by 10 going into the 4th, we mount a furious comeback, but fall short. Pitt 31, skins 27.

No matter what he does or doesn't do, one thing is certain, he can't stop holding, offsides, illegal motion, P.I. and other such penalties. Nor can he drop passes or make good blocks and tackles, dude already has too much on his plate trying to prove himself this year. we can't expect him to be the reason why everyone else does or doesn't do their job. #Teamgame.

I really wish that all of our starters had gotten more reps during preseason. Our guys will be fired up because of first game, being at home and on the national stage, but I'm just not sure that having that sort of emotional high replaces sharpening your game through work against competition. We will see...hoping for the best!! Thanks to @DGF and @reptec101 for trying to improve my outlook on this game!!
