Last year the Green Bay Packers played a pivotal role in our quest towards playoff success winning the wild card game here 35-18. As fate would have it, and another wild card berth at stake, our Sunday night visitors this week are none other that Aaron Rogers and Company, who themselves are hoping to keep their dreams of playoff glory alive. There are no logical reasons to lead one to think that J. Gruden's crew shouldn't come away from this one with a win that leaves them holding almost all of the league tie breakers if they become necessary. The one exception to this train of thought, is our penchant to gag during prime time games as this late Thursday night Nationally televised contest will be. Call it bad Karma or a gut feeling, but despite the stats, the arc that each team has been on for the last few games or the overwhelming signs that point towards a Washington victory, I just can't shake that feeling of an ill wind blowing our way. It won't be another 35-18 game, but the numbers that come to me intuitively are, 27-24 Pack.

The questions as usual:

1. Who wins and final score?

2. Player(s) of the game?

3. Memorial moment, event or play that will have them buzzing at the water cooler on Monday?

Good luck to one and all!!!

Sty, I too am worried about this game, given our history of late in nationally televised games. Couple that with QBs like Rogers giving us fits, and I see an upset. Rogers will have his best game this year. He will pass for over 300yds. KC will match it, but the end will favor the pack. GB 30 WAS 28.

I can't tell you how much i hope I am wrong. So much so that I can also see an alternative ending. This could be the coming out party for our team and a big rout. The Redskins offense show a new side. We run for over 150 yards in terrible weather. We pick Rogers off 3 times, with a pick six by Breeland. We win convincingly, Was 24- GB 10. This game puts us on the road to the playoffs and the team to beat for the WC as NY is upset by the Bears!

Basically,, I have no idea............

Yeah man, there is no logical reason to see us losing this one. My gut feeling is that GB out plays it's current self in this one with our Nat. Television shenanigans at play...Like you I'm hoping that I'm wrong about all of this and we finally get to see a game from our guys that have the following completely at ease by the start of the fourth quarter. Still worries me though.

Skins 27-24

KC to Vernon Davis for a 45 yarder with KC player of the game.

I can definitely see this happening, the difference between your prediction and my own is which team gets the game winning 3 points. My question to you is this; does it come down to the end or do you see one team getting some sort of lead and the loser coming up short in the comeback effort? The way I read your posting is Washington being down 24 20 when KC to VD game winner happens, is that correct?

Oh no...we don't win like that. We get up and let other teams back in. We lack killer instinct.

Latest weather report is high swirling winds (25-35 mph with gust up to 50mph) and temps in the mid 30s by game time. So does this weather favor us or GB? Seeing as passing will be tough, I think it should favor us. GB has no running game to speak of. Thoughts?

What took place on MNF in 1995 should have zero to do with what happens tonight. But given how they always suck in prime time until that changes it's hard to see it changing. J_y asks a good question, who does the high winds favor? I would think it woupd be the more accomplished QB with the big arm who is used to playing in bad weather.

With all that said I say F it, I'm going with Washington and Kirk plays well despite the wind..

Weathers gonna suck... windy as all heck here in the region. Gonna be blustery cold but I have to believe that favors us. KC was pretty good in the wind against Balt and RK running with a purpose since taking over the number 1 slot. My only concern is that we were pretty confident against this same team last year who at that time were coming into the playoffs a lame dog also,,, then took it to us in our own house. Not that our house is worth anything this year... last year it was however, and they dominated.

Seeing this as another could go either way game... plus we suck under the lights. Not as confident as some on here. If we can pull this off we will be in good shape having tie-breakers over GB and Vikes for WC. Can't believe Dallas gonna choke this lead away. They could because its what they do but don't see it this time. Big game tonight for both teams.
