This is kind of indicative of the mediocrity in today's NFL. 19 of the 32 teams have losing records & 1 is .500. Only 9 teams have 6 or more wins. Of those teams several (Denver, GB, ATL) are heading in the wrong direction at this time.

Carolina certainly benefits from a. playing in a subpar division & b. playing the AFC-S this year which is an awful division (also doesn't hurt that teams like SEA, PHI, GB & IND are trending downward).

Yep. Not a lot of elite teams out there in the league this year. A lot of what you and others have called Jekyll and Hyde performances. Course injuries have dictated a lot of this as well. They are the great equalizer in a week to week league.

Cam is rarely going to beat you with his arm, its what the threat of him running gives to the rest of the offense. If our CBs can hold up in true man coverage, and we can put 7-8 in the box, we might not get blown out.

Dont see this game as a blow out at all unless we give up TOs in critical moments that they capitize on.

Cam doesn't have the weapons on offense that a lot of teams we've faced do. But he is a warrior on the field himself.

Key will be ball security and shutting him down as much as is possible, IMO.

Yeah I think if the Skins don't turn the ball over, they will be in this game. Hard to tell if the run D has improved since the Saints were out of run mode pretty early. That long run from Ingram should have been a short one if Goldson wraps up.

Thinking we are going to need K. Robinson in this one to even have a shot at making it respectable. Mind you I dont see a solid reason to think we win this. But if we get out of Carolina having played solid ball and not getting blown out, we take it as a positive and move on to the Giants who will be well prepared for us having a bye week to prepare.

another week with healthy dbs robinson could be a full go paea starting to pick up his play and pot roast getting healthy we could be better . having culliver , breeland , hall and blackmon could be a strong unit with jarret in the mix at safety

Health has been very elusive for us. Good sign for down the stretch. We need that desperately. Could be the edge that boosts us over in a few games.

Its about tackling. IF we can tackle Cam and Stewart we should have a shot.

This will be an interesting game. If we play smart and contain Newton in the pocket, we have a good shot.the defensive key is tackling.

On offense, the key will be patience. Take what the defense gives us and look for the big play when it is there.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in here because there is no activity on the Panther's board. You are right we benefit from playing the AFC -S this year but you cannot call the NFC-S a sub par division. Our division Record is 23/14 the only division that beats us is the AFC E by a half a game at 23/13.

Having said that I do think the Skins provide a match up problem for the Panthers if you can stick to your run game. You guys have a penchant for knocking out some long runs and you passing game is coming around nicely. Also I have not seen the stats but I would think you held the Saints offense down better than anybody this year.
