I know a lot of people don't want to see Lee start. Me, I'm finding snaps for him the second he is ready. That being said, I'm not playing him until he is healthy or the playoffs start because I want to minimize the chances of him getting hurt again.

related, but unrelated sidenote - Wilson has actually been making some plays lately

This offense definitely needs a healthy Austin because if nothing else, it forces Linehan to be more creative.

I want Lee to start. Plenty of snaps to go around. Lee at 100% is still the best defensive player on this team. Knock on wood for health because this defense is about to get even nastier.

Looks like Irving is still not ready. I don't even know if it's the injury or his other issues at this point, but if you add Lee AND Irving to this defense it really can become dominant.

Did I read Taco was a healthy scratch last week? I assumed he was still banged up. Maybe it lights a little bit of a fire under him. But Gregory I thought has been great recently...other than the stupid mental lapses. That RTP last week was BS though.

Taco is looking more and more like a first round bust. He seems to be an afterthought on defense.

Taco was an insurance policy in case Gregory never played again. Taco certainly is not good enough to beat out Gregory or DLaw. I wanted TJ watt in that draft and really not sure why we passed on him. Watt had that high motor and yeah he was a better pass rusher in college. Still pisses me off

Me too. Taco was a reach IMO. TJ would have been great here.

Taco to me is a tweener like Crawford. More of a heavy front personnel man. He has a place, but if we have enough healthy guys, he is a redundant piece. I've always viewed his selection as an insurance policy on the shaky DE situation we had two years ago. I think its great that we have that kind of depth right now. But not surprising that his talent didn't force his way into the top 4 DEs with health on our side.

but does, or should I say would TJ Watt be playing the spot where Smith plays? I am not to sure TJ Watt was ever on the Cowboys radar. But for the record I wasnt big on the taco draft pick either & I am a michigan fan.

I really didn't like the Taco pick, but I have to be honest and say I didn't like Watt there either. It felt like all of the pass rushing DEs where going off the board and we just took the one that was left more than it felt like we took the BPA. That's never good. But, I'll say what I say every year lately. This team has earned the benefit of the doubt lately and in particular with 1st rounders so I'm not going to close the book on him yet.

Gregory has really been getting after the Qb lately. I wish Irving would get his shit together and hopefully he does going into the playoffs
