I do not see anyone after Jacoby if he makes it. Mitchell will not make it as a ST player. Trent Williams might have a chance if the Redskins can make the playoffs and win a few games over the next 3 or 4 years.

Very outside chance for Cousins but that is a long shot at this point. Team would have to improve, he would have to have seasons like the past two but he would need some playoff success. I don't see anyone else on the roster at this moment that I might project as a future HOFer.

Trent Williams has a shot if he continues his high level of play for a few more seasons, After that I don't see anyone with a shot. Past or present. I think London Fletcher gets shorted and most definitely deserves consideration.

Not surprisingly there are Dolphins fans that think Zach Thomas is HOF-worthy. The writer of the article below was kind enough to put together the stats of Thomas and Fletcher and some of their comtemporaries including Ray Lewis, Jr Seau, Brian Urlacher, Tedy Bruschi and James Farrior to look at side by side so to speak.

Does Zach Thomas belong in the Pro Football HOF?

Yeah, and Lewis is already in and Seau and Urlachler will get in no problem if they aren't in already. I do believe Fletcher's stats are comparable enough far as that goes. He has 2 SB appearances with 1 SB title with the Rams so he should be good on that front, The lack of pro bowls like the link you posted says, is what h8urts him. Personally though I think the pro bowl has become too much of a joke, but it will still end up holding Fletcher back or out of the hall.

I'm a pretty tough grader, my bar is really high. I still can't believe Mark Rypien and his one good season made it to the Ring of Honor. I think that diminishes the truly deserving.

So with that said the list as of right now begins and ends with Jake. Maybe Trent will get there but he has a ways to go. The rest? Not on my watch.

Nice call. While Dave might have a point about him being good for a long time, but not great. Though I thought he was pretty great. I think what hurts him even more is playing the majority of his career in an era where defensive stats were more an afterthought.

This is big Dave's stat tracker at nfl.com. Dave Butz Not a whole lot to go off right there.
