Also, the Reds pitching staff could be one of the worst of all-time. They currently sport a 5.83 ERA. 72 ERA+. Their bullpen has a 6.76 ERA. It wasn't that long ago the Reds had one of the best staffs in MLB.

Yeah, you'll probably need more than that. The Yanks are 14th in the AL in OBP and dead last in slugging. Only two regulars with an OPS+ north of 100 (Beltran, who has a .299 OBP; and Ellsbury, at 105). Gardner won't hit .215 forever, but that's where the optimism pretty much ends.

I agree lol actually. They need quite a few. That's the depressing team. Our starters (outside of Pineda) been good enough and our obviously our pen is damn good. The one weakness holding this team back is we need several bats

What's going on with Aaron Judge? He's batted .227/.301/.379 in AAA, and he's now had 472 plate appearances at that level. It's a large enough sample size to be worried IMO.

It'll be interesting to see Gary Sanchez. He's shown a lot of improvement behind the plate and should stick there. And he's hit reasonably well throughout the minors, showing some decent HR power.

Jorge Mateo's starting to show some power. Would be a nice complement to his speed.

The two teams continue their battle for the Vedder cup tonight and tomorrow, so sooner than later. You can tell Smith wanted to charge the mound there, happy he held back.

The change of speeds in his pitching just adds to the overall versatility in his game.
