I think the refs called that on Downies attempt at wacking at the puck as Fleury covered it up . I saw it, but it looked borderline from behind a TV screen. Guess it looked more brutal and unnecessary at ice level.

I mean, really the Orpik crosscheck was probably just as violent and was a result of it. The refs are clearly trying to make up for their gaff that lead to the second goal...the Pens PP just sucks so bad they can't make it up.
