Used the NYT Playoff machine and what I found is that if we beat the Giants twice, or the Giants once and the Cowboys once we have a 96% chance of making the playoffs. The other games are not as impactful as winning two of the three remaining division games. We have a better chance of beating the G-Men twice, especially after watching Dallas dismember the Vikings earlier today, but who knows. Its week to week at this point.
Beat Atlanta, sweep the Giants, win one of the last three, and I don't see how we don't make it. If we have dreams of making the playoffs at 9-8 we almost have to sweep NY.

Schedule game is always tricky and week to week, but I've been saying for about a month that the Giants games will make or break us.

Next weeks game is HUGE. It can give Washington a two game lead over Atlanta. See what happens with everyone else after next weekend is over.

They have to win the Atlanta game. They drop that, now they almost have to sweep the Giants and win two of the last three. Cowboys just destroyed the Vikings, we will be playing a Watson let Browns team, and the 49ers will probably be rolling a month from now.

10 wins we are in. 9 wins could get dicey.

The 49ers are not going to miss the playoffs with or without this win so we might as well start rooting for them to knock out our competition. That Cardinals being 4-7 is huge for us.

Playing the schedule game, good chance Skins either miss the playoffs or end up the 6th seed and play at San Francisco.

If the Skins beat Atlanta and sweep the Giants there is a good chance they could lose to SF, CLE, and DAL and still get it. Nobody wants to finish the season like that but just trying to emphasize how big these Giants games are gonna be.

This is fun. Meaningful December games between the Skins and Giants with both teams in it. What is this, 1990?

Naw....Gary Clark's over the shoulder catch from Rypien in the Medowlands in 1990 broke about an 0-8 streak vs them. I hear ya though. It's been a while. Lol

Now that I think of it, the game I'm referring to was probably late October/early November.

Did you ever think back then that it would 31 years later and not even a sniff of that kind of team?

I was a Senior in HS and was walking down the hallway when my guidance counselor stuck her head out of her office and said, "did you hear that Joe Gibbs is retiring?" I didn't know at the time that my fandom experience was about to change forever.

I was hoping George Allen could get us back to the SB when I was a senior in HS.
