Even if the Skins and Boys win this week, the Giants still have a shot at the wild card. Hell, there is one scenario where all three NFC east teams not named the Eagles get into the playoffs. (I've spent too much time playing with that damn Playoff Machine that ESPN has).

Yeah, that looks correct about making the wildcard. I guess the quote went to their being eliminated from winning the division. Last game will be Dallas-Wash for those two teams, and they must have the tiebreakers over NYG.
