Cowboys Offense is not too far behind if not just as good.
Yeah no.... It's really not. If you look at more in depth metrics it's even a wider spread than it appears at first glance. I know I know stats are for losers. It's whatever. This Falcons offense is a top 10 best offense in the Super Bowl era and the best offense in NFL history on 1st down ( almost 9 ypp). Anyway I digress

The Falcons offense is unstoppable. They should easily walk through the NFC. Beat their 2 opponents by an avg of about 24 PPG. Let's not even play the games because this offense is so damn good that the other 5 NFC teams don't stand a chance against them. Having a good/great defense means absolutely nothing. Seattle shouldn't bother making the trip to Atlanta next weekend assuming they win on Saturday vs Detroit

The cowboys had a really good offense this year too. People don't like to talk about it because we are nto flashy like Atlanta.

Consecutive games in a single season, 400+ yards total offense
8 Cowboys 2016 *
8 Broncos 2013
8 Patriots 2007
7 Colts 2014

There isn't a great defense in the NFC this year. There a few good defenses. Seattle would be the best if Thomas were healthy but he's not. And yes the Atlanta offense is far and away the best unit in the NFC playoffs

Best offensive unit doesn't guarantee you anything when your defense is trash.

D is a work in progress but it's largely irrelevant. The offense is so much netter than any other team in THE NFC the D just needs to be not terrible
Good point. The best defense is a good offense. Move the yard sticks and keep your defense off the field.

Something else that should be considered is that the Falcons final quarter of the season was very favorable. They played all bad teams. The last time they played a good team, they left with a L. They finished off the season with the Rams, 49ers, Panthers, and Saints. I'm not sure what division winner in the league except the Texans that doesn't run the table against that same schedule

Yes it does. If the offense can move the yard sticks, then the defense can stay off the field. "The best defense, is a good offense".

Why do you think the offense can so easily move the sticks when/if you run into a pretty good defensive team? Not every defense is the Saints or 49ers.

Didn't the Hawks beat the Falcons this season?

Giants have a great defense I would say

Since week 9, the New York Giants defense is giving up under 16 PPG.

I'm sure the Falcons will easily go up and down the field if they happen to play. Should easily put up 45 points

I would not want to play the Giants if they beat Green Bay. Great defense. So if Eli and the offense take care of the ball then they make another superbowl run IMO

This is true, but the Falcons defense is not all that good, plus the Hawks beat the Falcons earlier this season.

My guess on how this ends up:

Raiders over Texans
Steelers over Dolphins

Seahawks over Lions
Packers over Giants

Patriots over Raiders
Chiefs over Steelers

Falcons over Seahawks
Dallas over Packers

Patriots over Chiefs

Falcons over Cowboys

Patriots over Falcons

True. Never said it did but the difference between the Falcons offensive output and all other NFC teams is greater than their defensive deficiency. Doesn't mean shit but it's statistically accurate. Still gotta play the games though

We'll see. The Giants defense isn't too shabby.
