Oh. By "unique" I was just talking in terms of his technique and throwing motion and all that.

He doesn't look like your typical passing QB, but when he gets his footwork down like he did yesterday, he is very difficult to stop.

Not to mention, only 1 college recruited Taylor as a QB out of high school......and everyone thought we were crazy for doing so.

It's more than just footwork that he needed to fix though. He was pointing his body to his target.......not dropping his shoulder........etc

The following ten guys were not really on the Heisman radar (some were, but only as super dark horses). After this weekend, I think we have to at least consider them:

- Marqise Lee, USC
- T.J. Yeldon, Alabama
- James Wilder Jr., Florida State
- Andre Ellington, Clemson- DeAndre Hopkins, Clemson
- Taylor Martinez, Nebraska
- Le'Veon Bell, Michigan State
- Johnathon Franklin, UCLA
- Tyler Tettleton, Ohio
- Stedman Bailey, West Virginia

So, are there any glaring omissions? Anybody on here who shouldn't be? All opinions are welcome.

I didnt get a chance to watch the entire game, but this kid looks real good from what I did get to watch.

Those two balance plays that i did get to see had heisman written all over them.

I can only base the response on players I saw. Le'Veon Bell looked unstoppable, or could Boise not tackle. Not sure which. Suspect a little of both. Tyler Tettleton looked like a pro QB, but his receivers also made some great catches. Not on national tv enough to win, but could be top 10 at season's end.

Question on E Lacy of Alabama. Did not see game. Wife dragged me out to a movie. Was he yanked for Yeldon or just pulled because of the rout?

Bama just rotated throughout the game. Saban said earlier in the week that he felt he had 3-4 capable backs and they'd all see time against Michigan. Lacy had also sprung his knee and ankle before the season and I'm not sure he's quite 100% yet. Yeldon did look better when he was in but he's a different kind of back than Lacy or Fowler.

The talent has always been there, but he has yet to play a full season. He looked the absolute best I've ever seen him last night though; just hope he can stay healthy.

That's it. Saban was asked in a post-game interview why we didn't see more of Lacy, and he said that it was part of the plan to give Lacy limited carries because he's still not fully recovered.

With a name like Duke... Duke Johnson will turn some heads. May not be heisman material this season, maybe he will. But as a freshman. Averaging 19.8 ypc in his first ever college football game, look for him in the future.

 They just gave up 400+ yards and 32 points to a team that might win 3 games this year.

We always rotate to keep fresh no matter the circumstance

HOw is the injury?

Fwiw, Gio was a game-time decision and reportedly didn't warm up earlier because of his knee and wasnt likely to play...even though Saturday and even Monday they said he was fine...
