The draft rank according to USA Today for those who have opted out already.
I "get it" sort of if your team has no shot this year, and you're a top pick. But at Minnesota and PSU, they had chances at winning something.B1G dudes opting out like crazy.
PSU's best player
Minnesota's best player
Purdue's best player.
Michigan State's best player
Illinois projected starting RB

Well, that's pretty much the same argument about skipping bowls, only players haven't cemented those spots yet.At this point if I was a projected 1st rounder, no way am I playing. There's doubt the season will finish, if it does even start. I'm not risking playing in essentially an exhibition season.
how often does the projected first rd actually end up first rd picks in April?

Kind of a plot twist but this might work out for the best for XT and Clemson. The kid has crazy potentialClemson DE Xavier Thomas “opting out”. Had the COVID and then strep throat right after so apparently he’s no where close to be in playing shape. Will be redshirting this season. So still may play a few games.
Come on Fields. You know it's too dangerous to play....
Not OSU's best player
