I "get it" sort of if your team has no shot this year, and you're a top pick. But at Minnesota and PSU, they had chances at winning something.

At this point if I was a projected 1st rounder, no way am I playing. There's doubt the season will finish, if it does even start. I'm not risking playing in essentially an exhibition season.

Well, that's pretty much the same argument about skipping bowls, only players haven't cemented those spots yet.

I just pulled up a mock draft from September 2019 on the 2020 draft and 15 of the 32 were correctly picked as 1st rounders. 10 guys went in the 2nd round and 2 opted to play CFB in 2020. 84% went in the 1st/2nd round/back to school. Pretty good hit rate.

Yeah this season is gonna be one big bowl season, and it's going to suck.

Clemson DE Xavier Thomas “opting out”. Had the COVID and then strep throat right after so apparently he’s no where close to be in playing shape. Will be redshirting this season. So still may play a few games.

You won't see any of Nebraska's players opting out. They still need to prove they are good.

JD Spielman transferred to TCU could count, but he has not opted out. yet.

Kind of a plot twist but this might work out for the best for XT and Clemson. The kid has crazy potential

Maybe Michigan could keep within a couple Touchdowns then ? I’m hoping he opts out so nebraska can keep with 3-4 TDs

Not OSU's best player

tOSU lost quite a bit but we all know they reload...with other teams' best opting out this gives Ohio St even more of an advantage. I'm hoping none opt-out but I love Day as a leader so I think he will keep everyone calm.
