According to the Player Participation stats there were only 50 Boise State players who played in that game - including special teams players. Florida State, on the other hand, had a total of 61 players in that game.

After reviewing the Player Participation for many years previously it is very far from complete or accurate. And very often contains a handful of errors. For instance this year the Player Participation stats page shows # 7 MIKE linebacker as Akilian Butler except Butler is a Wide Receiver. The starting MIKE LB for the Florida State game ACTUALLY was # 7 Ezekiel Noa. Who I apparently did not (accidentally) include in my list of Defensive players here.

Also it was mentioned several times on several media sites that QB Riley Smith (of Florida) did play in last Saturday's game vs. Florida State (as a Wide Receiver/Tight End). Yet he is not listed as having played on the Player Participation web page.
