I think he was a much different player than Wade but every bit as good. Not the same defensive player but better offensively

I think if they matched up in real life it would have been ugly in favor of DWade. Pistol has zero chance of stopping him and I think DWade could make life tough for Pistol. Good win thought it should have been a ton closer

I think Wade is a much better defensive player but I feel both were offensively gifted not just scoring but every part of their offensive game. Gotta take Wade for his defense though.

Man I don't see it that way at all. Pete was phenomenal, he player with trash his entire career. Pistol on a good team would have not just been about his own numbers, he would have made everyone better. To me he is a cross between Nash and Harden

Its ok Ive come to accept a long time ago that i view sports and athletes a lot differently than this board. Pete was great no doubt. But Wade a full 2 tiers above him for me

Love the Glove but he’s a PG - different list. I realize that some guys on here are combo guards like Pistol but I guess I still consider guys like Harden Iverson and West more SG than PG

I’d put West in PG’s tbh.

I agree Wade is the 3rd best SG of all-time.

I think Maravich was a different type of SG than Allen or Miller and he was a great passer...more of a Jerry West type of guard. Not sure where I would put him but I have Wade as the 3rd best SG of all-time

Let's even take Iverson

The year prior to his drafting the sixers were an 18 win team. He had them with a winning record two years later

Maravich joined a Hawks team that won 48 games. Ended up being traded because him and Cotton didn't get along

(Granted that was sometimes the case with Iverson and brown)

1. Magic
2. Oscar (even tho I dont think he translates to today and Id never draft him, he killed his era and I respect his place in history)
3. Isiah/Stockton/Steph
4. Kidd/Nash/CP3/Glove
5. Everyone else

If you could combine Nash’s offense with GPs defense you’d have the perfect PG. Kidd and CP3 were better on D than Nash and better on O than Glove so they all kind of blend in one tier for me

Steph Curry is one of the greatest players of this era, and when the refs let him get roughed up for one Finals series, he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. When you can't hand check a player, when you can't put them on the ground when they go to the rack, it's a difference in the game that can't be adjusted for. It's like comparing a 5000 yard passer today to Dan Marino throwing for 5000. It ain't the same game
