I will never go to Bdubs again. Not only was it horribly slow service, but...well, here's a time line for you:
530: I finish work with soccer team and rush back to dorm
545: Check listings and "SCORE!", the game is on NHLN
6: Rush to leave with friend
615: Arrive at Bdubs, tell hostess about game, she says "Sure, we can at least put it on the small TV" Happy Erin
625: Still no hockey...asks waitress "Sure, I'll go tell them" Happy Erin (not quite as happy)
635: Waitress returns "Did they change it?" "No, not yet" Peeved Erin
645: Returns again "Did they change it yet?" "nope..." Pissed Erin
710: Man across from me asks for Ohio State game, within 30 seconds of asking the game is put on the BIG SCREEN.
740: After being done with my food for around 25 minutes we are given the check and rush to the door. Extremely angry Erin.

Try getting hockey on tv in CT., they dont evem know what hockey is here. lol

Buddy, trust me...it's the same in Indiana. Freaking Hoosiers. BASKETBALL SUCKS YOU BLOWHARDS! Never going to that place again. Second time they've shafted me...this is worse because the first time was a fight night, so it was at least excusable. This was not. They had 3 TVs on trivia with no one playing, and one big screen on race 'pregame'. I asked politely 20 bazillion times.

Try watching hockey on tv here in Pittsburgh. FSN's new "foxbox" doesn't feature the power play time yet. Ahhhh.

Watched the game on a delay... here are my thoughts...

First, a hockey was played so I assume people are whining about the refs.

As always I will focus on the Pens and my thoughts on them. Nice to get a win. A very good 3rd period, I was nervous during the 1st two, poor defensive coverage, no real support, chipping the puck but no real forecheck. When Sid tries to put the puck through the net he missies the goal, hopefully now we won't be pressing like he was, still too many blind passes to no one. Geno, up to his old self, I noticed last game, he just will not get off the ice, and no hustle on the backcheck. TANGRADI still is weak along the boards, but not was weak as Comrie, and again, Letestu is the real deal. Johnson looking good. Engelland has been impressive and Lovejoy has his moments and lapses. He should be a good one here in the near future, esp because he is being forced to play high pressure minutes due to injuries. Letang has evolved into a very good two-way defenseman, but at times tries to force a play that isn't there.

All and all, a good effort from the Pens.

EDIT: Wow, just read through the post and no one complained about the refs, I am quite surprised.

The most annoying thing about Cooke is that he is a talented guy, great wheels and good hands, yet he prefers to run around the ice being a shit disturber and backpedalling when somebody challenges him (and then goes into full turtle mode). His teammates get tired of cleaning up the mess he creates.

I'll be surprised if he lasts out his contract with the Pens (although I just took a look on capgeek and see he has a modified NTC).

Except for a quick pushing match with Richards....Cooke was non existent for 90% of the game.


I guess with Carbomb sitting, he didn't have a yapping partner.

lol Don't. Aside from the game, the Mrs, little Tox and myself had a real good time together.

Great food, beer and crowd made things very comfortable when the game from our point of view really wasn't.


Besides....my record going to games if very, very, very sad, so deep down I kind of expected my boys to lose.



Ah well...

Next up --- those Ducks of Anaheim on Thursday. Plenty of time to work on a shit load of problems facing my boys.
