The start time for this one got moved up from 7pm to 6pm because of the SFvPHI ballgame, tonight.

Should be another great battle between these two in state rivals. Pronger is back, so I'm sure that will help the Flyers even more.

It's always good to play the Flyers, because win or lose, at least it will get the Pens going emotionally, and that's one thing that's been missing this season. Especially from Sid, what's up with him.

So, on that note, I hope Philly cheaps it up, especially Pronger!

I don't think Pronger is a cheap player - I do think he is the epitome of a dirty, nasty player however

With that being said, I hope Pronger takes a few liberties on a player I do feel is one of the dirtiest in the league, and that player wears #24 in a Pens sweater

Agree about Pronger - was more using cheap in a pretty broad sense. Should have used dirty instead.

I have to admit, I don't understand all the Cooke hate. It seems like since his Savard hit, he's gone from pretty standard cheap pest to undisputed cheapest dirtiest player in the league, who does nothing for his team.

He's not. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I think Ruutu was cheaper, tried to injure people more, and did less for us. Tootoo is worse. Avery is worse. Kaleta is worse. There are probably another dozen players. It's probably going to sound like Pens bias, maybe it is, but generally I dislike pests, and still I don't think Cooke is any worse than the league average (for pests).

Richard's reputation didn't change after his hit on Booth, because Richards is considered a great hard-nosed physical player and Booth isn't a superstar. But when Cooke (a known cheap player) hits Savard (a skilled but soft superstar) on an almost identical play he suddenly becomes the most hated, useless, all-time dirtiest pest in the league and people are wishing career-ending injuries on him.

Don't get it.

I was saying these things about Cooke long before he ever arrived in the Eastern Conference. Just ask Canucks fans what they think about him.

The most annoying thing about Cooke is that he is a talented guy, great wheels and good hands, yet he prefers to run around the ice being a shit disturber and backpedalling when somebody challenges him (and then goes into full turtle mode). His teammates get tired of cleaning up the mess he creates.

I'll be surprised if he lasts out his contract with the Pens (although I just took a look on capgeek and see he has a modified NTC).
