Pinkel has apparently admitted to contacting the Big 12 to review the Courtney Osbourne hit on Gabbert.

What a fucking pussy that is munching on sour grapes.

If he wants it reviewed and they determine Gabbert caused helmet to helmet by lowering his head; they better review his dumbass dropping the ball and give Nebraska another 6 points as the ref's completely fucked that call up.

Article in its entirety:

Pinkel wants Big 12 to review hit on QB
By Dave Matter

Posted November 1, 2010 at 11:45 a.m.

With heightened awareness across college football and the NFL when it comes to helmet collisions, Missouri Coach Gary Pinkel said MU will send the Big 12 footage of a hit on quarterback Blaine Gabbert by Nebraska safety Courtney Osborne from Saturday's 31-17 loss in Lincoln, a fourth-quarter sack that probably could have drawn a penalty for helmet-to-helmet contact but did not. Blitzing off the left edge, Osborne could have tackled the 6-foot-5 Gabbert below the shoulders but led with his helmet and struck Gabbert in the head.

Here is footage of the play.

Pinkel would not say if he believed the hit should have drawn a penalty, but he’d like the Big 12 to review the play and evaluate whether a flag should have been thrown.

“For the most part the officials that I see are trying to do the right things,” Pinkel said. “It wasn’t about who hit him. I don’t think there was malice involved there. But everybody’s trying to get away from everybody as far as targeting above the neck. We’ll see what happens, but there certainly wasn’t any malice on that guy’s part."

NCAA Rule 9, Section 1, Article 3a states that no player shall initiate contact and target an opponent with the crown of his helmet. When in question, it is a 15-yard personal foul.

Nebraska Coach Bo Pelini was clear on his opinion of the hit and Missouri's wish to have it reviewed. "I thought it was a good tackle. ... They got to do what they gotta do." Gabbert "ducked at the last second. It was a good hit. The Big 12 will do what it has to do. I can't control that."

Gabbert was sacked six times in the 31-17 loss, but Pinkel said his quarterback was in good shape Sunday night.

“He’s a very tough guy, as we all know,” Pinkel said. “And they got after him pretty good."

Missouri did not have any changes to its depth chart for Saturday's 7 p.m. game at Texas Tech. Middle linebacker Luke Lambert, out the last two weeks with a sprained knee, was not listed on the depth. The Tigers opened as early 5 1/2-point favorites over the Red Raiders.

Pinkel's team is coming off its first defeat but is still in position to compete for the Big 12 North Division and a premier bowl game.

"One thing, I’m very honest with our players," he said. "Our whole staff is, offensively, defensively, in position meetings on Sunday. Whether we win or lose the football game, on Sunday I’m very consistent and tell them exactly like it is. That’s really important. We’ve always done that. Then we go through film, we learn about it and get focused on the next football game. I’ve got to do a little better job this week than I did last week, obviously. There’s a lot out there. We know there is. And it starts with a very good Texas Tech team."

Nebraska ruined Pinkel once again. Fairy Pinkel wants to cause as much trouble for Nebraska as he can. It's a ploy to deflect criticism away from himself. The "Show Me" folks are royally pissed at that sorry excuse for a head coach.

Ed Cunningham needs to look at the tape again. You would think if you were that wrong you would want to take another look at it.

According to some reports, the big 12 has told Missouri that they reviewed the hit and thought there should have been a penalty called on it.

What a fucking joke this conference is.

Pinkel is attempting to get as much mileage as possible out of this to detract from his poor game plan of attacking the strength of Nebraska's defense the entire game..

What a surprise!

We are really going to have to earn this trip to the Big 12 Championship game, as we not only have to win out, but battle obstacles that we cannot see....
