Two out RBI hits + 1.5 points for that RBI

For the first week of June (Monday, June 1 - Sunday, June 7)...

Panik won the week for the second week in a row. We notice him here, but I still think even we may under-rate him.

Top 3 hitters...

Panik - 20
Duffy - 19
Aoki - 18

Top 3 individual games...

Crawford on Tuesday against the Pirates (9) - 2-4, HR, R, 2 RBI, BB
Maxwell on Friday @ Phillies (8) - 2-4, HR, R, 2 RBI
Aoki on Saturday @ Phillies (8) - 3-3, R, 2 RBI, BB, HBP

For June 8 - June 14th (@ Mets and vs DBacks)...

Panik won the third week in a row with 24 points. Posey was 2nd with 19 points.

Panik scored a 9 in game 2 of the Mets game while Duffy, Posey and Belt all had games with 8 in the week as well.

So far, I am finding that a score 5+ is a good game. A score of 9+ is a standout game. A score of 13+ or so is an amazing game. For some perspective, a grand slam is 9 points, all by itself. If a player hits 3 solo HRs with nothing else, that is a game score of 18.

Last week (June 15 - June 21 -- vs Mariners, @ Mariners, @ Dodgers)...

Panik's streak of winning weeks was finally broken. Posey had the biggest week since May 25 - May 31 (when Panik had 34 and Belt had 30) with a score of 27.

Duffy scored an 11 vs Seattle and Posey had a 14 point game @ LA when he had his salami. This 14 was the biggest game I have seen since I started tracking these numbers (Aoki had a 13 @ Milwaukee on May 25).

I am looking at a little tweak to my scoring...

Change TB from 1 point to 0.5 points
Change BB and HBP from 1 point to 1.5 points
Change SB from 1 point to 0.5 points (keep CS/PO at -1 point)
Add 1 point per hit

This was triggered by Blanco's game on Tuesday. He went 2-3 with 2 walks, 1 RBI, 1 run and 1 CS for a total score of 5.

A guy got on base 4 out of 5 PAs and only scored a 5? Should one double be the equivalent of two singles?

With my proposed change, he would have had a score of 7 instead. Not a HUGE difference, but it does reward OBP a bit more while still recognizing SLG.

A solo HR would be 5 points instead of 6...

But now a walk is more points than a single... it should at worst be tied with a single...
