congrats on getting our last Fuller, Cali. If his knee can hold up he will be the best of the bunch by far.
Thanks Cam.

Hey, you can root for the skins now, we've got a lot of your college players now :becky:

I pull for all of our guys regardless of team affiliation. My NFL loyalty is sporadic at best. My Hokies are where my loyalty lies :thumb:

3 hokie DBs on the skins will definitely have me rooting against opposing QBs though.

would assume (with not knowing the skins depth chart extensively) that Kendall would probably start out as a dedicated nickel guy. Kyle did the same early for the bears. Would assume he would probably transition into a pure lockdown man cover corner as he progresses and gets that knee to 100%. Kendall is as good as a man-cover guy as you will ever see coming out of the college ranks when healthy. Dude was not necessarily blessed with elite athleticism (although not bad at all in that aspect), but everything else is there in spades. He can hang with the best of the best purely with his instincts and technique. When watching him, you can really tell he was molded from an early age to be a corner by people who knew what they were doing and he really worked to hone his craft.

The Broncos just proved that solid lines and a superior pass rush win championships. We are building from the outside in on the defense. Not a good idea I feel. We will get gashed to death next year if we do not add anyone of value.

Thank goodness Dallas didn't take a RB or our D-line (or lack of) would be really in trouble.

To add to Cams quote. He would be good in zone as well. He is a GREAT form tackler. I think he could play all over the field... Even at FS.

looks like we have a good CB there and a young dunbar in the wings too with breeland
Thought it interesting that Bullock thought he would be better on the outside while Jay mentioned him competing for slot. Given health, it will be fun to see what he brings to the table in terms of versatility.

Seems like we are taking an NBA draft like approach. We are stock piling talent and not necessarily tryng to build a team. We don't need another CB...the roster is full of them. What we do need is a RB, Center and multiple DLinemen. Thats why I don't like the BPA approach at all given the status of our team. If we were an elite team, you just draft the BPA, but we aren't.

This appears to be built on the assumption that everything needs to be rebuilt in 1 or 2 years. SM already told everyone that this team won't be completely ready this season. Let me ask you - would you rather have the previous approach where they loaded up & perhaps were solid for a season but this only occurred every 4 years or so?

Compare this to slowly building a team by getting the best players possible regardless of position. Using this method by yr 3 or so you should be solid at just about every position & be able to compete every year. Why the rush?
