Actally I was fine with the Doctson pick in round one. I likely would have taken a D-lineman in round two. And you can say it would have been a reach based on how the e draft turned out. BUt I think Robinson or Reed would have been a better pick than the tweener LB/SS that we havent even decided what we will do with him yet.

Like I said, in a bubble, if you totally ignore the roster, all of our picks have been good. But at some point you have got to consider what you need. We apparently didnt take need into account until all the true starters were off the board.
fine and dandy except both were off the board when we picked

Robinson and Reed were off the board in round 2 at pick 46 and 49. We picked Cravens at 53. Cmon Shark what are you talking about?

Both Reed and Robinson were gone by our pick in the second. Would you have traded back up to get them?

If the guys you were claiming were sure starters, they wouldn't have been there in round 2.

Then that sir is when you kindly admit... we kinda shit the bed on this one. Sure we got the WR.. great. And our GM wants to gain picks, not give them up. BUt lets be real.... if any time was a time to trade UP for a D-lineman since we made it a point to get Doctson.... we should have traded up to get a D-lineman.

I think the tweener ended up being the BPA because the legit starting D-lineman we passed on to get the tall WR.

We should have traded up in that case. Instead, we took a tweener because we didnt really have a D-lineman worth the pick in the 2nd round... which i expected to happen

Oh I agree with you, there is no doubt several DL in this draft are better than what we have. That's not the issue. The issue is were those DL the best players available when it was our turn. You seem to think it doesn't matter that there were better players available with such a need. Our GM doesn't think this way.

Kendall Reyes- 2nd rounder
Stephen Paea- 2nd rounder

So why are these second rounders in this draft definitely better than the second rounders on this team?

you are way too high on the bama guys. Kelly ended up being the best player out of all the bama players. lol. You guys were busting my balls b/c of that.

I think you are pulling a Dean and overrating players because you want them to be what you were hoping.

We were busting your balls because of your definitive analysis based on the opinions of experts I have never seen more incorrect than they were this season.

And I think you guys are over valuing the bunch of backups we have on the D-line because you want to believe our GM can do no wrong.

that's your opinion. Martin went mid 2nd. Kelly was a late first early 2nd round talent. Just like I said.

Despite the Kelly Pick, Andrew Luck will be one of the most sacked QBs in the league this year.

Shark this was a strong draft. We are getting compliments everywhere. Im not a SM homer but I like what he has done today. Especially picking up the 4th next year. That was huge!!! The only problem I had with SM today was completely trading out of the 4th round. That was a head scratcher.

Guys... I got us giving up 150 or more on the ground over the first three games, and lossing 3 of the first four because of our run defense.... enjoy.

I haven't done a play by play review of last season, but what I recall a whole lot was opposing teams running on us by attacking our outside zones, which really are problems involving our LBs and safeties. Also, before he got injured last year, Paea was having a good year.

I will go with 110 average.

We gave up 122 a game last year, we have gotten worse on the line. Yet you seriously think we will improve??
