Looks like we are down a run as Buchanan just pitched a nine-pitch inning as we go onto the sixth. Little has changed. We are still losing.

Buchanan is just as good a hitter as Hamels and he certainly lays down a great bunt like Hamels as well.

Asche is in scoring position on third after two sac hits by Buchanan and Revere.

That is nine runners left on base by the Phillies with Jimmie standing and watching a strike go by. This is one of the contributing bad factors for this offense being so anemic.

Buchanan gives up another base hit. This is just killing us.

Jimmy Rollins, Utley, and Howard are working the double play but missing twice because of excellent disruptive base running by San Fran. Buchanan gets out of another inning with relatively few pitches thrown.

Both Utley and Howard have struck out swing at ankle high fastballs. Completely krappy-ass baseball on the offense side of things.

Byrd goes down swinging with just three pitches. These guys totally suck.

Ishikawa gets on with a base hit. Buchanan has pitched pretty well today. Our offense has been so bad that it provides no run support for Buchanan but I think he is a keeper since out pitching staff has gotten thinner and we are dumpster diving to fill spots.

Nice play by Revere. He almost screwed the pooch with that turning around stuff.

Posey dumps one into right field as Ishikawa moves to third. We need an out right here to stay within one.

On we go to the eighth and Sizemore.

Sizemore strikes out. The inability of our guys to hit major league pitches continues. Ruiz is ofer today. More of the same.

Nice base hit by Asche. Asche has been on base four times today. He is one of the few who is hitting well. Dom Brown is up. This could be a disaster as Brown is hitting .227 which is pathetic.

Blanco doubles off of Diekman. This is not good.

Ryno should have used Ruf instead of Brown. Oh well, at least it was not Gwynn.

Overthrow by Byrd and then the throw to second by Ruiz and Jimmie missed the tag although it is being reviewed. Runners move up if everyone is safe and no outs. This is not looking good for Diekman and company.

I totally agree Northeast. We are just a better team with Ruf playing and Brown sitting.

Freakin' Diekman is just killing us with those dirt balls, especially with a runner on third and now Diekman walks the batter and the bases are juiced.
