Where is everyone? The Phillies are going to come back and win this one!
I see that Ruiz batting sixth and Asche batting in eighth might have been a good change. Ruf and Asche delivered. Everyone knows they should play these two guys every day except you know who.
I got in late so I missed the majority of the game. I may stop by tonight at some point, but I'll be spending most of my time watching the Rams-Packers game.
Yep northeast and jvett. I agree with the consensus opinion here on Ruf and sitting Brown and playing Howard less. The Phillies are just a better offensive ballclub when Ruf plays and when Brown sits. As jvett has stated numerous times, Howard should be batting in the eighth spot when he plays that way you can couple up and plan on your outs by consolidating them in one area of the lineup. If both Howard and the pitcher get on base, its a bonus. But Sandberg is appearing to be myopic like his boss.
Looks like the Rams-Packers game is early so there is a better chance I'll be around this evening for game 2.
Good choice of words. (myoptic.) It is a scary future ahead for the Phillies with Amaro and Ryno at the helm. We need people with common sense that look ahead to what we can become. The whole organization seems to be short sighted. I think the fans have more insight than the management!
Another loss. 54-69. Maybe I'll get back for game 3. Maybe not.
Actually jvett, I was watching the Rams play the Packers. The Lakers are off and I am fairly certain the Rams are who you meant.
