The Phillies will have a fair chance to win the opener with the Braves. Harang gets the call and he has pitched well thus far. I actually believe that Ruf will be in the lineup tonight since he is coming off a 2 doubles game and the Braves are starting a lefty. Maybe we can play clean defense and improve on fundamentals. MAYBE!

Does it matter? or better yet, does anyone care? 2-3 years from now, most of this team will be a faint memory.

Sorry about Ruf, Northeast. Back to the bench, dude, but thanks anyway. Impossible to earn your way into the lineup. Amaro believes we'll go far with Francoeur. I hoping to get to the game tonite since our ace is on the mound. I hope there's a good turnout even though things have been in the crapper lately. Just think 2 weeks from now the whole team will be up to speed.

The insanity of this organization is starting to drive me insane. Benching Ruf after a good performance at the Plate
has become the Norm with this team. It is a wonder how Ruf keeps his head together. Amaro is still telling Ryno what to do and how to do it. Francouer and Howard are not part of any rebuild and since this is just a tank year.
Why continue to destroy any chance for Ruf to establish himself? Put Ruf in left field and move revere to right.
We are facing a lefty tonight and should have as many right handed hitters as possible in the lineup!

What an awful umpire. Revere's second strike was a foot high. And the 3-1 to Utley was a foot inside and high

Well, Holy Cow. Revere sneaks one through and we eek one away form the braves, 1-0. On we go 6-11. Or is it 6-12?

With out a doubt we have the worst manager and the worst GM in baseball. Sandberg does not know how to put a lineup together. He can't manage the bullpen properly either. Batting Galvis 8th is unforgivable. Revere should not be in the leadoff spot any longer either. Howard stranded 6 base runners tonight as well. Could any body else get paid millions to screw up the business they work for? No way!

I just got back from the game tonite, a satisfying 1-0 win despite 11 LOB. Very cold 45 deg I guess and 21,000 chilled fans. After the past few days of defensive screwing around, the Phillies looked real sharp in the field, two nifty DPs, and tonite it was the Braves who handled the ball like clowns. Francoeur did bobble a ball in right preventing him from making a throw to second to hold a runner to a single. Howard, while 0 for 4, got good wood on the ball three times, missing a homer and then a double down the right field line by some feet. Galvis got 3 hits in the game. I feel (hope) that the team can only improve when they're playing in the 70s.

It's that climate change jvett,:pound:. I agree Northeast. Howard is going to show some flash here and there but nothing consistent. Only in Philadelphia to they pay a guy gobs of money to screw-up the business run by an inept manager and controlled by a braindead GM and owner!!!

Yeah, more balls off the Phillies bats in warm, less dense air will reaching the seats but that applies to both teams. Odd, Galvis played without his winter headgear and got 3 hits. We do know that Revere heats up after April. The old core needs warm air for increased energy also.
