This team needs to wake up. Defensemen are pinching when they should fall back and rival forwards are being left wide open in glorious scoring areas. You feel bad for whichever goalie we have in net on any given night because they're being hung out to dry left and right. The defense was especially bad on the third goal given up. There were still 3-4 minutes left. You can't just stop skating and expect to win 3-2.
The offense bailed us out of this one late. The Sabres skate hard, they just have no offensive confidence to speak of. We pretty much handed them the goals they did score.
We'll obviously take the two points, but we had no business winning this game just based on effort alone. I hope it's a wake-up call moving forward.
