Peterson or Bobby Rainey?

Who would you start? I'm still on the fence but am leaning towards Rainey but need a little push off the fence.

Foot..I don't think you're crazy here. I mean sure it sounds ri-fuckin-diculous, but AP is banged up, the QB situation is even worse than ever, and Rainey has been doing great. I wouldn't laugh at you if you made this call.

here is the difference between rainey and peterson... if both teams are losing big, minnesota will still run the ball because peterson is their best player... TB has some nice WRs...

Very true. . But if the Vikes are down big, like 3 scores or more, Peterson is likely to watch Gerhart, given his injury status. Rainey could very well gobble up quite a few garbage receptions and yards too.
Little late now, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Rainey outscore AP today

I pray for your sanity you started Peterson. Never bench your starters for a flash in the pan is one rule I live by in fantasy. Also...never start a guy off of one good performance unless you absolutely have to. Rainey may have a couple more good games left...but he would have to put back to back good games together for me to consider starting him over a normal starter.

Especially when that flash in the pan is playing against a top-5 run defense. Sitting him again this week would not be a bad idea either.
