I watched the replay of the game this morning on BTN and on our second score, one of Purdue's defenders led with his head and knocked off Crosses helmet with a helmet to helmet hit. Where was the penalty and ejection then? Hmmm?

And that should be addressed, if a ball carrier lowers his head --> then no penalty.

Maybe the ball carrier who lowers his head is the one who needs to be ejected....

When 2 heads collide both heads are at the same risk for injury......so blame the ball carrier for ducking and taking the helmet to the face

There should be no penalty posed when hitting a ball carrier or vice versa. The ball carrier is NOT a defenseless player!!

I have a way to prevent almost all injuries... Each player should carry an airhorn . When they're about to make a tackle or a block, they blast it and the tackle or block is automatically made without any contact! Wala, no more injuries! We may as well ruin football in this fashion.

If a player makes the block after hearing the airhorn, they are automatically placed in a naughty naughty corner with a dunce cap placed on their head for the remainder of the game!

how in theee hell did I miss this un last nite ??

I was just being sarcastic

My Bad!!!! My sarcasm meter is broken.

Did anyone happen to catch the show that was on after Big Red Wrapup last week? It was about the NFL and concussions. Don't remember the name of the show, but it was very interesting.

I had a concussion when I was about ten years old, and I turned out perfectly normal! lol! I was swinging on our backyard swing set and lost my grip on the chains. When I hit the ground it knocked me out. I told my Mom and Dad about it years later. I remember having double vision for about one month. My Mom did scold me for not telling them.

I feel like contacting the head of the Big Ten officials and recommend my way of preventing future injuries!

While I'm at it maybe I should mention the FACT that Kenny Bell made the greatest what should have been a perfectly LEGAL BLOCK last year! That was the greatest block I have EVER seen in a college or pro game.

I really would do this, but I'm sure they would retaliate against Nebraska because they don't want to hear the truth.
